Timeless had just discovered that the gorgeous doe he'd been spending some time with was pregnant and was now on a quest to find her something great - a gift, but better obviously. Females liked... things... well, actually he didn't really know what females liked, beyond himself of course. What could be better than a young stud such as himself? Not much... but alas that ship had sailed.

Shaking his head free of the thoughts of himself he surveyed the area. Sticks, nope, not very interesting. Rocks? Also boring. This gift giving was hard work, really, he'd only been at it for a full... well, it felt like a long time okay? With a sigh and a stomp of the hoof he protested the lack of something jumping out at him immediately and ending his misery. Upon lifting the hoof he'd so dramatically stomped he realized he'd just crushed a simple, but pretty little flower that might have been useful... whoops.

She hummed as she walked, mind wandering as her body moved. Every once in awhile, her form would flicker and then a songbird would swoop through the air trilling and then she'd be a mare again. After all, she'd learned that she--more accurately, her sister--was a great grandmother. It was impossible not to be excited about that which is why she hadn't noticed the buck. She might not have noticed him anyway but with the news of new family and the euphoria of someone in need a blessing... Giveforward was a little distracted. Which is why she walked right past the buck and didn't notice she'd even done so.

Being so preoccupied with his quest, if that's what you'd call it, the crushed flower and his inability to put any real effort into anything he almost missed the lady happily waltzing by. Almost. Because Timeless didn't miss ladies walking by, running by or just being in his vicinity, that just wasn't a thing. And so, with a nice hearty throat clear he called out to her, "Aaaahemm. Well hello there, beautiful, where are you off to in such a hurry?"

The mare paused in mid step--that had definitely been a voice and she furrowed her brows before turning around to see the buck that had called out to her. She let out a small cry before turning herself around and rushing back towards him.

"Hello! I'm so sorry I didn't notice you," she apologized, sweetly, "How are you?"

Didn't notice him? Didn't notice him. Oh, she was playing hard to get. Wait a second... in that moment he somehow realized he wasn't supposed to be wooing the opposite sex and was actually gift hunting... er... questing. With such a tough task before him he figured he definitely needed to enlist help. He just had to sweet talk her into it.

"No harm done," he cooed ever so gently. "I could be better... for you see... a lady very special to me is pregnant with my future foals and I feel such a special occasion calls for a gift of sorts. And alas, I can't find something suitable. Say... you wouldn't be willing to help me out would you? Help me think of something suitable. Wonderful and special even.." he mused.

Giveforward shrieked. She bounced, prancing her hooves and tossing her head, as she continued to let out the most shrill noise of happiest she could manage. There were just some sounds that did not translate from birdsong to kin.

"I'm so happy for you and the mother and the children!" she finally put something into words. She grinned, "Of course, I'll help you! Does she like flowers? Birds? Feathers?"

He genuinely wasn't sure what to make of her excitement but tried not to look too offended by whatever shrill sound she'd just made. Her excitement aside... she did have rather good ideas. He had no idea what this doe liked but she definitely had to like feathers.

"Feathers, yes, feathers, she uh... loves them. Adores them actually," he said, hoping to be convincing. He wasn't about to tell her that he had no idea what she liked, feathers just seemed safe.

"You are in luck," she grinned and then there was no mare. Only a songbird, settled on his nose. It seemed to grin as it gave a vigorous shake and a variety of feathers were shed. With a trill, the mare stood once more and she gathered the feathers carefully. "Will these do?"

Ah, a legendary kin! He'd heard of them, able to transform at will, it was rather remarkable to behold. Upon seeing the beautiful features he was filled with such joy, as they were so pristine and perfect, they just had to make a wonderful gift.

"Do? Why, I think they're perfect actually!", he exclaimed, stepping forward to collect the assortment.

"Wonderful!" the mare grinned, pleased to have helped. "You'll also need a blessing for your little ones." Not that she'd have let him go without one anyway.

"Your children will be strong and healthy; they shall be kind and catch everyone eyes with their spirit and beauty," she told him. "At least I hope won't miss them if they should need a blessing," she added to make up for her initial distraction.
