The fruit hung plump and round on the tree. He plucked one; the flesh gave way easily, the juice filling his mouth.
He chewed once, twice - then paused, a strange sensation on his tongue. It tingled. An odd prickling that coated everything.

Anger consumed her from very young. From the moment she could stand, wobbling unsteadily on her hooves, she was filled with rage. It was those around her who suffered the consequences, for she grew quick and she grew strong, and any who crossed her path were likely to feel her ire.

When she beat her brother to within an inch of his life, she felt no remorse. Instead she craved violence all the more, and though her brother recovered from that fateful day, others did not.

Corpsemaker, they called her in hushed whispers, for when she was done with her targets, that was what they became.

Left untended the garden grew wild. Weeds spiraled and bloomed, creeping and strangling. Until the efforts made of those long gone were completely erased.
