On this forum, we have our own special currency in the form of Pebbles.

Pebbles are earned through posting and can be used for a multitude of reasons: to buy custom and semi-custom kin and pets; to buy breedings; to bribe colorists for special requests; to buy tickets for on-site raffles or to participate in on-site games; to trade with other users for any goods or services they might need, including art, writing, journal coding, or whatever else might swing your fancy.

Pebbles may also be awarded as prizes for contests or participation in certain events, but the following forums grant it for new topics and posts:

Tokens

In certain kinds of opportunities on the forum, colorists will request these tokens in return for the corresponding order. In those cases, you'll have to make sure you either have the item to send to them should you successfully get the slot, or you'll have to make sure you have enough pebbles in your account to go buy one from the shop.

This should help keep the forum economy from falling fully into the hands of colorists, and keep things more fair for all users.
