[B] Something new [Touch the Stars x Strange Creature]

Lifting her nose to the air, Touch the Stars smiled slightly as she breathed in the hot summer air. The sand beneath her hooves slid with each step, making her walk slower than usual. She was here seeking a blessing - it was her first time expecting, and she had every hope that all of her children would soon be going forth into the world to seek out happiness of their own...and so had decided to enlist the well-wishes of a legendary kimeti...if she could find one.

The stories were so vague, she had no idea how to really start, truth be told - but that had never stopped her before. She was always one to trust that things would fall into place, if she tried hard enough at it, and had no doubts that this would be no exception.

Strange Creature was learning about digging burrows. One of the nicest things about her new abilities was that she had a much better understanding of the animals around her, and if any of the local reptile had any fear of her left, they surely weren't going to show it. She was here in the sand, hanging out with her real tegus, who were collaboratively showing her how to properly make a burrow.

Or at least they were, until the kin-shadow came over them, which was when Strange Creature got distracted. The acha didn't seem to be hunting them; she looked entirely preoccupied, almost like- wait, Strange Creature knew this feeling! With a skitter, she popped over the ridge, tongue flicking the air with a mighty "thlpp!" as she approached the long-tailed doe. She looked up at her, eyes a-glow. "Thlpp!" If the doe was out here looking for someone like Strange Creature, she'd been found. And if the doe didn't know yet... well, a giant lizard with glowing eyes was probably omen enough that she'd figure it out.

Distracted, it took Touch the Stars a moment to spot the large lizard that emerged over the top of the ridge, but when they did, their appearance was...arresting. She froze for a split second, debating how to greet them - was there any type of lizard with glowing eyes, or were they something...else? Giving herself a mental shake, she opted to err on the side of courtesy - even if ut was just a lizard, they were a rather impressive one, after all.

"Hello!" She called out, her tone friendly. "I hope I haven't disturbed you, I'm just passing through, so hopefully you don't mind." As she got a little more comfortable when the lizard wasn't overtly threatening, she continued to ramble. "I'm on a quest of sorts, you see, so I appreciate your tolerance."
