Misty's ail moved with the flow of the current as she settled into the water. It was refreshing, immediately taking away the heat of the day and her journey. She let our a contended sigh.

"Just a little break before we continue," she murmured to herself.

It wasn't every day Real Big Fish saw a fish this big- or this pregnant, come to think of it. Fish tended to hide their gravidity much better than kin did- which was kind of amazing, considering just how many tasty eggs they were full of. But at the same time, if you're that full of tasty eggs, perhaps it wouldn't do you well at all to advertise.

Anyways, it didn't much matter, because the other big "fish" in the water was, like her, not actually a fish. She was an acha doe, and she seemed right at home in the water. Fish swam up to her, cycling through her aquatic forms as she did before settling in kin shape. "Fine day for a swim, no? But beastly hot weather for anything else- especially in your condition, hmm?" she said with a friendly warmth in her voice. "Are you headed somewhere cooler, or are you camping here for now?"

Misty was so relaxed that the kin's sudden appearance didn't even phase her - it was a perfectly normal thing to see a fish turn into a kin; probably happens all the time and she's just never paid much attention. Maybe one of her familiars are secretly kin in disguise. Wait - that was actually kind of a bad thought. She shook herself out of it, dipping her head just below her eyes into the water for a moment before coming back up for air.

"Well, I don't really know where I'm going to know if it's cooler or hotter. I'm seeking a legendary - cause, well, you know, -" her head gestured to her round midsection. "Only I've never met one before and I don't know where they live."

"Well, you've seen one now!" Fish said with a chuckle, before slowly morphing in and out of her shuppy shape (a perennial favorite, that one). "Name's Real Big Fish, but everyone just calls me Fish. Kin like me are all over the place, but I'm usually wherever the salmon are running or the bass are biting. Or, uh, in any body of water on a day as hot as today." She pawed the sandy bottom with a hoof. "So now that you've caught me- I guess I'm one of those fishes that grants wishes?" Oof, that a was a bad joke, even for her. "That is- if you could ask for something for them, what would you ask for? Only don't ask for the ability to control the weather, if I could grant that, I'd do it myself."

Misty's tail gave a little swish of glee. How perfect! She wouldn't have to leave the water - truly, she was dreading the thought. A little giggle at the totoma's joke before the acha contemplated. She thought she had her answer all planned out but now, at the critical moment, nothing seemed right. Nothing seemed worthy. It's not that she had pride in herself and thus her children - nothing like that. It's just that she wanted so much for them and she simply could not find the right way to express that.

Taking a deep breath in through her nose and slowly exhaling it, Misty finally spoke. "I don't really know what I'd ask for beyond health and happiness and I will try to grant that on my own." She blushed, dipping her head slightly in embarrassment. "I wish them to be strong swimmers."
