Fish Bones followed a feeling, had been for a few days. Less urgent now, but still a persistent buzz holding his attention. Around the next bend he sees an orange kiokote pacing, clearly agitated.
Hello? he sends the question out. The orange kin stops, looking around.
"..Hello..?" Sweet Orange calls out, unsure if someone had actually spoken or not. There only seemed to be a foxbun near.
"Did you talk? Can you help me? I ate a flower and it made me a boy and now I'm going to be a father.. or mother once I change back. But are the babies going to be ok? Will Blood Like Ice be ok?" Sweet Orange lets it all out in a rush of words, gasping for breath by the end.
Fish Bones nods, taking in everything Sweet Orange says. Hopping over to the confused doe, and patting her knee gently, he replies. The flowers are safe, the babies, Blood Like Ice and you will all be fine.
Sweet Orange relaxes, she's pretty sure this isn't a regular foxbun. They don't talk as far as she knows. But the small creature's words calm her. "Thank you. Thank you!"
Sweet Otange turns to leave, humming a little tune, ready to tell Blood Like Ice that everything is going to be ok.
