The Winter Marker has arrived!

It’s time for holiday cheer and - tropical vibes?

There seems to be a bit of a heat wave in the Swamp this winter; delightfully sunny days and hot balmy nights. It’s the perfect time to visit a beach resort!

Wait - what?

That’s right! A beach resort! It’s time to live out your anime beach episode dreams!



This booth ends with the Winter Market and will roll on the 6th at whatever time strikes my fancy!

Welcome to the Resort!

The Royal Rainbow Troupe has arrived at the market on time this year en masse, setting up a booth that the closer you get the less booth-like and more tropical beach resort it becomes until you are pulled into its warm embrace.

You blink and you’re standing on hot sand, shaded by the towering palm trees with the sound of the ocean waves at your heels. Wooden deck chairs line up along the beach with jaunty brightly coloured umbrella for shade. INland you spy a sparkling blue pool and a very fancy building, bustling with staff ready to serve your every whim.

You glance down, expecting something.

And discover you’re -

- well, you’re still you.

Just a kin.

But with beach gear on.

That’s fine. Anything goes, right?

A pair of Acha prance by wearing a bikini and summer dress respectively. One of them peers down their sunglasses at you and winks.

It’s time to sit back, sip a cocktail and get into the holiday vibe!

Well here we are! Another year, another winter month and some low-stakes beach-y shenanigans with the RRT! This time we have a pot of prizes and every time you participate in a game, you’ll earn a ticket! It’s very simple!

All the tasks will be various low-effort mini-games with a beach resort theme. I’ll be dropping at least one a week with more depending on my whims but once open they stay there until the end to give everyone a chance!

There is also a small chance that anyone who rps will get some horrible little sketch from me!

A. Not at all! Any kin type can join in and wear a bikini!

A. Excuse me but this a swamp. There are no humans here. Only kin. On jet skis. And in bikinis

Q. Do I have to do all of the tasks or do them in order?
A. Nope! Do one, do none, do some, do them in whatever order.

Chances are I'll ignore this until the end and then scramble to make the raffle list, yay! I won't ask for preferences until the end just in case I snag more prizes from somewhere!

Speaking of... the prizes so far include some lovely bright Giraffcha, two watch me daughter's and a really lost spectral eagle who took a wrong turn at the nearest mountain and ended up in a tropical paradise!

You've done it, you're here! It's been a long walk from the swamp flight, you've made it past the grouchy reception, your suitcase is partially unpacked and the world is beautiful! It's time to go soak up that sun! Get out of the comfy travel gear and into your beach gear!

You’re happily enjoying the resort amenities, splashing in the beach and pool, getting your drink on and soaking up that VIBE. But you’re starting to get hungry and look at the time - the buffet is about to start!

All bets are off at the resort buffet. Your task is simply to EAT.

There are exactly 100 different foods available and your kin is on a mission to try them all! Roll 1d100 to see how many they actually get through! Then write a small blurb or draw a picture about your kin enjoying (or not) their buffet experience!

Everyone who tries earns a raffle ticket. The person (or people if there’s a tie) who eats the most earns an extra ticket!

Now it's time to take a walk along the shore - and as the sun begins to set, casting a golden glow across the ocean, you see someone walking towards you. Your heart does this little DOKI DOKI thing and you realize they're the most gorgeous someone you've ever seen. You stare into each others eyes and know that they're the one at least for the next few minutes.

As you awaken from your dreamy romance, you’re full of pep and verve! This is no time to be lazing around a pool. There’s plenty more activities the resort has to offer - like dangerous water sports!

This time you don’t have to do anything (except post a form and make a single choice) and instead I’ll do all the work! Post the code and let me know what water sport your kin is trying (surfing, jetskiing, boating, fishing, idk pick whatever) and I will doodle your kin having a massive WIPEOUT.

Why? Idk. It’ll be funny, probably.

After all, kin aren’t very good at water sports.

They don’t have hands.
