Be Afraid stood and regarded Tender Teeth for a few moments. Still, silent. The moment broke with a short, contemplative hum from him as he considered what to do next. He knew what needed to be done, this was not the first time the tall buck found himself in this situation. The tall, stoic buck breathed in deeply before turning away from the nest the pair built for their coming brood. A brood that deserved to be strong, discerning. Be Afraid turned away and trotted off.

The series of events that lead to this moment swirled around in his mind while he made his way through the Swamp. Another buck, very sweet, that caught his eye. While Be Afraid was a buck of few words, he was not incapable of showing his affections. Their bond strengthened, he offered Tender Teeth flowers that complimented the ones he wore already. Little did he know, some of them were more special than he'd thought. In hindsight, they did look a little familiar.

So, he found himself looking for another shining eyed kin in the Swamp. The strange one he met last time was an interesting first experience with those touched by the Motherfather. Still, he felt like he learned a lot. With that in mind, he sought out the more populated parts of the Swamp first. The birds quieted down with his approach. He twitched his ears as he looked around. With some searching, he managed to find a few freshly shed, shining feathers. Be Afraid carefully gathered them up before making his way to the less travelled parts of the Swamp to search.

Tidal Terror sat on the shoreline of the inner swamp, watching some of her pets play in the water. They went along with her many absences and treks, so they deserved to enjoy themselves.

Her otter swam and frolicked, her frog leaped about and croaked, her bird chirped in the trees. Her fat fish, meanwhile, floated and did not do much.

And her caiman watched as one did. And she watched it so it wouldn't decide that after all these seasons, the otter was food.

Her dragon meanwhile made a nearby puddle tase absolutely delicious to drink from. She didn't have a favorite, but that kind of friendly companionship was always appreciated.

Then, as if timed, she felt it. The pull. Someone looking for her, needing assistance. Well, there worst times, she supposed.

The kin seemed nearby, too.

She wasn't about to try to gather all of her menagrie with a moment's notice, so instead she called out, "Hello? Is there anybody about? Feel free to come over! The more the merrier."

Be Afraid heard splashing around before a voice reached his ears. He paused for a moment, considering if following would lead him where he wanted. The buck didn't want to ponder it too long, the set of his jaw when he thought over his next move would worry away at the fragile feathers he was carrying. It couldn't hurt to check. The best scenario is that the one calling out could help him. The worst is that they were not. Glancing around one last time, he trotted in the voice's direction.

When Be Afraid broke through the thicker undergrowth and arrived on the shoreline, he wasn't sure what he expected. A totoma watching over several familiars frolicking was probably not it, though. He watched for just a moment before approaching further, one of his ears twitching while he regarded the totoma. Even turned mostly away, the glow of their eyes did not go unnoticed. It seemed he was in the right place, at the very least. The buck approached to a healthy distance, and greeted the doe with a curt nod. Usually, he wouldn't move any closer than this, but the buck did not want to start off with asking before offering anything himself.

Careful of the animals hanging about, Be Afraid approached and carefully placed the feathers a foot or two in front of the doe. "An offering," he started, voice low.
