Joy was surprised to find herself as a marshfowl, a feeling that was instantly followed by absolute delight. She puffed up her feathers and clucked around, but her excitement was interrupted by a flying apple, which narrowly avoided absolutely taking her out. She fluttered in alarm and looked around, scratching the ground in anticipation.

She spotted a lettuce leaf and grabbed it, taking ungracefully into the sky, flinging it with all her might as she could at a nearby kin- the only nearby kin, in fact.

The lettuce leaf kind of flopped to the ground ineffectively. The woody kin didn’t seem fazed. Joy puffed up indignantly. They should join in the fun! She drew back and took a running start and kicked a tomato at the kimeti.

The tomato landed with a satisfying splat and joy took a moment to cluck up importantly, before casting around for more food to toss. She found an old mushroom and picked it up in her beak and tossed it at the kimeti, desperate for him to join in the food fight and have fun.

Joy crowed victoriously once again as the seemingly indifferent kimeti gazed mournfully out over the chaos. He looked… very tired. Well, that wouldn’t do. Joy decided to try and find something nice to throw at him instead and tugged a berry out from under a leaf, chucking it at the kimeti’s head… or it’s general area anyway.

Joy slightly wished she could still talk- all her invitations to join in the fun came out as clucks. She turned and scratched the ground, sending a flurry of assorted nuts towards the buck.

The nuts landed with a series of clattering sounds like rainfall and Joy jumped in delight. Wasting no time, she picked up a tuber of some sort (with immense effort) and awkwardly chucked it with her beak, squawking with the effort.

Joy’s efforts were rewarded as the potato landed with a satisfying smack squarely on the kimeti Buck’s flank, before dropping to the ground. He still didn’t budge. She scooped up some grain and tried an attack from the air, spitting the seeds out as she flapped awkwardly over him.

The seeds showered the buck, lodging amongst the gnarled wood that somehow covered him. Joy landed clumsily and cast about in a fever for the next object of attack - a parsnip! She seized it in her beak and ran towards the buck’s leg, attempting to spear him with it…

Of course, the parsnip was blunt so it just kinda bounced off. Undeterred, Joy picked it up once more in her beat and set about whacking the kimeti around the ankles.

Story -
HP: 14

The parsnip made a lot of satisfying smacks before snapping in half. By this point the poor buck was the bearer of many battle scars- squashed fruit, feathers, bits of dirt and trailing leaves covered him- even more so than previously. Joy searched around and found a fairly sizeable hollowed out log, which she used to attempt to scoop up some water to try and wash the poor buck off somewhat…

The water trick worked a little too well, deluging the poor buck and soaking his immediate surroundings. Joy gasped in horror and as she did accidentally dropped the rounded bark she had been holding to try and drop the water on him…

The bark smacked down directly onto the buck’s head, cracking in half. Joy slowly sank to the ground, gazing up at him worriedly, before bowing her head and letting out a single, apologetic cluck.
