It’s that time of year again!

Some kin might remember last year’s epic winter market beetle battle, led by the very loud, big haired, beetle loving Kiokote, The One and Only. There were thrills, spills and kills! Ok, maybe not that last one.

But there was a whole lot of drama, some great fights and one beetle champion!

The setup seems the same this year.

There’s the Kiokote covered in beetles, beckoning you over to the arena (see also: stump), there’s the beetles, all different colours, some familiar, some new, all of them ready for one hell of a fight.

You step close, prepared to choose your fighter, put on a bet or maybe enter yourself into the ring. Wait, what? Did I mention you’re a beetle? Of course you are! Haha, silly! How could you forget??? You've always been a beetle!

Welcome to the alternate beetle universe! Everything is scaled down to beetle size and yes, you are also a beetle (or some other sort of bug honestly I don’t care) and this is THE event of the year! Only the bravest sign up for the beetle battle royale!

HOW TO ENTER

Create your fighter! Take one of your kin and draw them as a beetle (or some other bug that might enter a beetle battle royale). This is not an art contest. Your art can be as quick and dogshit as you like. A quick scribble in Paint is fine (see my art above or last years beetles)! Fill out the form provided and post, then you wait for me to work my dumbass magic!

WHAT COMES NEXT?

Did I mention it’s a free-for-all??? A battle royale beetle bonanza!!!

All the beetles go in, only one wins!

There will be x rounds, depending on how many people sign up and only a certain amount of beetles will make it through! I’ll be rolling and flavouring each round, sprinkled with terrible images I will draw of everyone battling it out!

In-between these rounds, while you don’t have the chance to influence the fight like you could last time, you can earn extra tickets by fleshing out your beetle battler! You’ll be asked to do certain tasks, like draw your special move or winning pose! This will be announced when necessary.

You’re also welcome to RP and just enjoy being a beetle!

Then I’ll roll to see who made it through the round and so on until only one winner remains!

(I am kinda making this up as I go along pls don’t mind if things get weird.)

SO HOW DO I WIN THESE?

Everyone who posts one of the codes, gets a raffle ticket! Every time a battler survives a round, they get one raffle ticket. Each time a battler takes out a competitor, they get a raffle ticket! Whenever you participate in the extra rounds, you get a raffle ticket!

But whoever wins overall, gets first pick of the prizes regardless of ticket count, yay! The others will be raffled off to everyone.
