Prompt:

Snow Glory adored Winter Market, and was absolutely. steadfastly. DETERMINED. Not to let the strangeness of autumn ruin his favorite event in his favorite season. So this good old traditional market fun sounded perfect! He pulled back the sling with his teeth and loosed the fruit to fly....

(2 - critter - x1 ticket to the end pet raffle.)

SPLAT The overripe persimmon flattened into a bright orange splatter of pulp all over the stone face. True, it was nowhere near the target leaves, but the chaos was its own reward. The burly kiokote buck swashed his tail like an excited dog, then looked eagerly to the kin running the booth.

"Can I try again?"

(4 - heart - x1 bonus ticket to the weekly kin raffle)

The second time, Snow was more deliberate in his aim; he carefully aligned the angle of the sling with the direction of a cluster of leaves, and took a few steps back to put extra tension on the line before he let go. The cluster of red berries splattered deep red juice all over the leaf target in a manner that absolutely did not resemble blood splatter in the least.

"Yes! But can I hit the one aaaall the way back there, I wonder...?"

(4 - heart - x1 bonus ticket to the kin raffle )

Meanwhile, Snow's newest--and only--familiar had other plans. Roused from her nap in Snow Glory's oversized mane, the little thoughtling noticed--well, to Hazel's walnut-sized mind, it looked like Glory carefully holding out a snack. Quick as a flash, the thoughtling zipped out of Snow's fluff to bury itself in the berry pile--just in time for Snow Glory to release the sling.

"Sorry, SORRY!" He cried in dismay and dashed into the killing fields splatterzone after his wayward familiar.

((Anyone else roleplaying their responses is welcome to react or respond, if you think it would be fun!!))

Wild as the Wind is at first very, very seriously studying the leaves. A few moments - or is it minutes? - pass before she nods to herself and carefully maneauvers the berries into the sling to shoot..!

And score!

Though she's almost meticulous with loading the sling for the second shot, and pleases herself with another leaf plastered in berry juice. By the third she's actively prancing as in place as she scoops a berry and loads it before pulling back on the sling to hit another leafy target and look at the splatter. The fourth? She nearly trips over her own hooves in a mad scramble to load the slingshot, but her aim's true! Everything's going marvelously, and after her fifth shot she does a happy little hop, skip, and buck for her good fortune. She heaves a breath and flicks her ears forwards. "Winning this sure makes a doe thirsty..." She murmurs, licking her lips.

...and surprises herself with the taste of the very berries she's been using for the game.

She carefully selects the juiciest one she can find, and makes to load the sling once again. She fires! ...and nothing comes out?

Wild swallows with a happy little rumble.

A mystery.

Prompt: Talon smiled fiercely as she pulled back the makeshift sling, carefully tilting her head so her good eye was directly over where she was pulling back with a berry. When it hit a leaf marked with a crude drawing of an animal, she crowed. "Ey-hey! This is pretty fun!" She paused a moment, and looked back at the leaves.

"So, after, do you uh... do you replace them? If so, can I keep the leaf?"

Prompt:

Waves Under The Moon had a mission; a mission that had been appointed to him by In Harmony. The doe would be incredably busy this year and didn't have the time to do the usual rounds, seeking out new companions to add to her family. This will be easy he thought.
But no, it would not be easy. Booth after booth had remarkable prizes! Animals he'd never seen before, oh so many of them. If Harmony were here, she would be over the moon, trying to enter every booth to her own exhaustion. This year it was his turn. He took a deep breath and shot his berries, keeping an accounting of his score.

A two, oh, thats not a very high number. He frowned.

Another two. Huh, I wonder if that's good...

A third two! This is lucky right? Gosh he hoped so.

A four! Oh this is much better, its a little better then half so maybe he wouldn't be going back without.

A fourth two?! Surely this was a good sign. He internally thanked the Motherfather.

One booth down, how many more to go..?

"It's starting!" They breathed out excitedly near Death's ear, practically buzzing with energy. They couldn't see the kin approaching, but they could hear them, and they could hear the splat of berries hitting the stone wall. Only a few, but it was a promising start to the market.

Meadow Lark was excited for this years winter market. Seeing all the different booths and activities was always an exciting thing for her to behold. Darling and Dearest shifted upon Meadow Larks back as she trotted along, curious to know more about this booth. Watching as some kin went ahead of her she listened to the rules and then smiled. Shoot berries at a target, in the hopes to gain a prize. "Oh, this sounds delightful." As it would take a little bit of aiming to accomplish the task.

Darling and Dearest chattered with Meadow Larks excitement and shifted upon her back and moved up towards her head so they could watch the festivities better. "I have to say, this booth is very creative, thank you for hosting!" She said to the two kins with a bright smile upon her face.

Taking 5 berries she prepared herself by taking a breath and letting it out slowly to calm her nerves. The two owls shifted and she looked up at them. "Can you guys shift to either the ledge here or my back, I enjoy your company very much, but you're both a bit heavy when I'm trying to aim berries." The two owls chattered and who'd and shifted to the ledge so they could still watch her. Taking aim she went about shooting the berries at the marks and when she was finished she counted 2 hearts, 2 critters and an x. 4/5 wasn't bad at all! Smiling the owls hopped back on her back and she moved aside so someone else could go next.

Prompt: Lucky Bandit loved the sights and smells of the market--the wild colors, the scent of berries on the air. She'd come to this booth for a shot at some food, in all honesty, but she loved a game just as much.

"How did you even come up with this?" she asked with a bemused chuff before lining up her shot. What she lacked in precision she made up for in enthusiasm, and when nobody was looking she nicked a few berries as a snack.

Prompt: Eagles-Landing had to have sharp eyes when it came to protecting the eagles that relied on him. This, however, was a completely different task and he took some time watching others before he stepped up to attempt it himself. With careful aim, he let loose a berry . . .

It sailed in a perfect arc through the air and splattered against one of the leaves with a heart mark. Even with careful aim and sharp eyes, he still found himself a little bit surprised. A proud grin stretched his lips as he loaded another berry. Remembering the movement, he repeated the process and watched the berry fly. This one also hit a heart marked leaf and stained it red as the skin exploded on impact.

As much skill as it might take to hit the same leaf type over and over again, he didn't want to lower his chances by staying in the exact same area. He took a few steps to the left to realign with the targets he had yet to hit. A inhale of breath as he aimed, an exhale as he loosed the berry. It burst against a leaf with a crude critter drawn on it and he grinned, delighted.

Two more shots; he drew back and watched the berry slam into another heart.

Now, not to lose it all on the last attempt. He tried to shake off the nerves, but now he had such a solid streak that the tension was creeping into his muscles. A slight tremble, he swallowed and aimed his last shot.

"Oh, thank goodness," he breathed as it hit a critter leaf. "I can't believe I managed to hit a leaf each time," he laughed.

He turned towards the two kin, "What a great and fun game! Thank you!"

"Let me have a go!" Splash screeched in delight, pushing forward, almost launching herself instead of a berry. She was so ready to go!

Alas in her excitement, her first berry was nowhere close to the target. It splattered off somewhere in the distance, maybe followed by a startled yelp. Splash cheered. Her next shots all hit their targets, getting better and more accurate with each attempt. When all five berries ran out, she wilted in disappointment. But promised to come back soon, then trotted off to find something else fun to do.

Bring was, well, very confident in herself that she would be just amazing at this game. She had seen the other kin from afar dropping berries into something on the ground and the berries hitting the wall. Upon closer look she saw the leaves with things on them that they were trying to hit. After waiting a moment for one of the contraptions to free up, she took her spot and dropped in a berry.
Success, she hit a leaf! Well, no, she then realized it had an X on it.
So again she dropped in a berry and ... hit the green one with a heart. She knew she could do it!
Another launch and drat, another X.
Two more chances, she loaded in another berry. Another hit! Again a heart.
Last chance, she wasn't doing too bad to be honest. The dropped in the berry, took aim and strike, this time the one with a critter on it!
See, she knew she'd do well.

Having just gone into a series of dark subterranean caves, Smoldering Ember feels that his accuracy might be affected by the sudden shift in lighting conditions. But seeing as he's resolved himself try trying everything the winter market has to offer, he tries his best to focus his aim when he pulls back on the sling and releases the berry into the air.

Prompt: Spring Onion wasn't exactly one for games that involved athleticism or chance. She was more used to figuring out puzzles, sussing out guessing games or things that had her use her brain. She was ... well, she wouldn't have called it lazy, but. Why run when walking would you get you there just as well?

She took great pains to select the biggest and the most overripe berries she could find, thinking they'd give the best payoff. Two of them sailed far overhead, one plunking directly down onto the head of an unsuspecting kin halfway across the market. (She ducked her head, trying to hide at the shout of HEY! from halfway across the scene, as the kin looked around to see who'd hit them with fruit.)

The other three found their marks where they were supposed to hit, splattering in messes of colorful pulp right in the middle of the leaves. She let out a whoop and returned to the crowd to wait her turn.
