Day to Day
MotherFather or Other?
The Blood Circle is multidenominational. Praise be! Small, intimate worship sessions are generally provided on FirstDay for the MotherFather, and FifthDay for the Other. They just seem like First and Fifth day sort of deities respectively. The Blood Circle was just formed recently, but they have already made a sort of nesty, natural structure for the MotherFather and hastily put up a dark corner with bubbly offerings for the Other. Even if the two seem to have some contentions to work out between them. The Blood Circle isn't too fussed if Friends are more keen on one than the other. Everyone has their own path. A blood-covered one!
Tribe Roles:
Everyone shares roles, and may be asked to do different tasks day to day. Assignments are handed out FirstDay, and last through SeventhDay. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, gathering, building, or helping tend to the sick. A helpful attitude towards ones Friends is appreciated. Although parts of the day are organised, there is plenty of free time for kin to pursue their own spiritual progression and relationships.
Days:
The Blood Circle uses a seven day cycle to chart various events. These days are known as FirstDay, SecondDay, ThirdDay, FourthDay, FifthDay, SixthDay, and SeventhDay.
Lambs/Children:
Children without markings are raised by the tribe normally, but as an adult they can't be a member.
Familiars
Familiars are welcome, with or without a blood marking. However, familiars that have a mark are considered Friends who also have a special purpose. It is fortunate to have this kind of companion. Friends are not allowed to hunt or eat a Familiar with a blood marking.
Blood Sacrifices
Okay, okay. So maybe there is a little blood sacrifice. Some Friends are not aware of this aspect of the tribe, and just participate in all the usual activities normally. For Friends that are interested, Blood Sacrifices are Fourthday (when a sacrifice is available) and besides the chanting, circles, and cloaked disguises it is regarded as a pretty cheery event not far off of a potluck. The sacrifices are either familiars or kin (never ones with a blood splatter mark) that need dispatching for the greater good. Usually this is dangerous criminals or hostile parties, or if a familiar, one that has been dangerous or a pest. If there isn't anyone or anything available, the meeting is just a fairly mundane taking of minutes and news. Friends "in the know" may receive extra chores, such as making poisons, espionage, abduction, and assassination. As with worship of the MotherFather or the Other, this is considered an additional but equally viable "path" for helping the Community. It is not too far off of other tribes's ways of dealing with hostile parties, just maybe with some additional weirdness, ritual, and secrecy sprinkled in.
