[Combat Helper] Kickin' Some Dummies

Post by Lutz »

Intrusive Thought watched a few of the other kin testing their might against one another. They were generally large or tough looking kin that were sizing one another up, and while Tru had a pretty intimidating face, he didn't count himself among those that could hold their own in combat.

But there was a training kin that had been set up and he was curious to see how he'd fair against that one. It seemed pretty sturdy, maybe if he could take it down he'd feel more confident going up against a flesh and blood opponent. Once the area had cleared, he approached the training dummy to try his luck.

Tru surprised himself with a pretty solid kick to the dummy, though it still stood firm. He reset himself and tried again, emboldened by his solid hit the first time.

This time...he'd missed. Tru had focused so much on winding up and delivering a hard blow that he'd not even bothered with his aim. Embarrassed but willing to try once more to knock the dummy down or at least kick its head off, he shook himself off and lined up again. Third time was the charm, right?

This time his kick found its mark, and he gave a little laugh of delight as the head of the dummy went rolling into the dirt. Quite proud of himself, Tru pranced back to the circle to watch others give it a try. He hadn't built up his confidence enough to take on a living opponent but he felt pretty good about his attempt in the training circle.
