[COMBAT HELPER] Life
Life had been in a perilous incident a time or two before.
The Flood sometimes still clouded her dreams. Many lives were lost that day, swept away never to be seen again. When she recollected on that time, she'd hoped that ones who the water washed to unknown fates were lucky and able to catch rocks or branches or even dry land before they....well, she didn't like to think about that. She had saved at least one herself, and perhaps her courage inspired others to do the same. Because of hers and others actions, many were alive today; both since and the newly born after.
Recently, with her long self sure purpose seemingly wavering, and maybe a little action would help clear her mind. She wasn't used to it and this certainly wouldn't be a dangerous undertaking. Well hopefully.

[COMBAT HELPER] Life
(rerolling hand because I thought someone would drop in to rp with me and it didn't happen )
Luckily her opponent was kin that has been assembled from some stray pieces of wood into a rough figure. She couldn't hurt it and well, it couldn't hurt her THAT badly. She'd been smacked in the body and face by a errant stick or branch enough in her time to not be afraid of a some wood.

Dice Kept: 1, 4 - Rerolling 3
She circled her opponent. The wood seemed to be dry so most likely it would break if hit hard enough. The problem was that she wasn't a good hitter. She was good at one thing. Well no...one is too harsh. Two at the most. Maybe.

Dice Kept: 1, 3, 3, 3 - Rolling 1
But was she and her purpose really so shallow? Did the Motherfather give her such a name and implant such a drive into her for such a simple thing? If you boiled it down, creating life was easy. Anyone can do it and did, everyday. Everyday others were populating the swamp with new life, it wasn't a thing only she could do.

[COMBAT HELPER] Life
Final Hand: 1, 3, 3, 3, 3 = 12
She wasn't special.
The sudden realization hit her like a tree.
She really wasn't. She only did what almost everyone else could do. Animals did it, plants did it. Every living thing in the Swamp reproduced in some sort of way. It wasn't like she had been charged with saving the species of Kin in of itself. She just, had a lot of children. Children she loved and cherished. But didn't most parents? Not all sure, but most surely?
What was even the point? Why had she been doing this?
Because the Motherfather right? Because she felt deep down inside her core that this is something the Motherfather wanted from her, tasked her specifically to do. But if everyone could do it, why?
The darkness enclosed in on her the further she thought about it. Maybe she was wrong. Maybe the Motherfather never actually called to her. But didn't she inherit the spirit of Life itself? She did, didn't she?
She began to spiral. No, no, no, of COURSE she was. She has know that her whole existence. Her purpose, her love, her other half..
But even Death had not been himself since the darkness fell and the motes appeared. He'd been distant and avoided her whenever she tried to get close. Life really wanted to see him, she wanted to talk to him about her doubts. He would listen and comfort her, she knew it. With his help, they'd work through this. She was sure of it.
With a shout of frustration, Life knocked the wooden figure to the ground and began to stop and kick the pieces across the ground. She didn't realize she'd started crying until she was out of breath from destroying the wooden effigy.
She needed to find Death. She needed his warmth, his love, his comfort. He'd reassure her it'd be ok and because he'd said so it would be ok.
Her hair clung lightly to the tear streaks on her face and she used her knee to wipe it away. Ok, ok, she was calmer now. Time to go find her other half.
