The morning rays woke Albatross despite her hair's valiant attempt otherwise. Slowly she stood up to stretch her limbs from their slumbering state. A quiet yawn and a neck roll later, she was ready to meet the day. It had been some time since she showered and peering back at the others sleeping, she wandered to find the nearest waters. Waves called at her and soon she found herself half submerged in water and soft sand. This wasn't a bad way to start the morning. Languid swims made up the rest of her morning until storm clouds ushered her ashore. It was there she saw a giant shell with half of it missing. She wondered where it could be. There was no one else on the beach and no other footsteps mixed with hers.

Pieced was in a state. It felt like not long ago she'd found herself in a spot of trouble, expecting un expectedly, and here she was all over again, no less surprised than the first time.

Of course she knew how this all worked, she knew there was always a chance, but...wishful thinking, apparently.

She was too lost in her own self pity over the situation to notice she'd encroached upon someone enjoying the sand and the surf on the quiet little beach she'd managed to wander into.

"Hello?" Albatross called out. "Can I help you? These stacks don't build themselves you know!"

"Oh?" That'd gotten her attention, and she blinked big eyes at the other doe, uncomprehending for a moment. Until she looked down, seeing what she'd done. "Oh."

Very gingerly the acha doe side stepped, moving until she was well free of the crumbled remains of whatever it was the other had been working on. "Um. No, not as such." Her muzzle wrinkled. "Not unless you know a way to not be expecting."

There wasn't. Was there?

Clearly the doe was joking. Albatross had only furbies, stackable rocks and half of a shell at her disposal.

"I imagine that's quite a tall order for most kin. Despite what you may have heard about legendaries, we don't really that power. There may be one among our ranks who does, but that's hearsay."

Oh, she'd trampled right through a legendary kin's business. That was fabulous.

Pieced busted out a lofty sigh, a wane smile pulling at her features. "That's okay. I don't think I'd do it even if I could." But maybe there was something else she could.

Feline ears flicked back, disappearing into thick curls briefly, then snapped forward again. "Legendaries give blessing, right? You could bless them to be smart, capable." Self reliant, even.

"And with a sense of direction. I imagine that would help." Albatross couldn't help but give her own wry smile. Somethings were complicated like furbody exploration and cross breeding. Other things were more straightforward like kin creating more kin and blessings. Even if she were to add a blessing to her schedule, her day was relatively light. Should the storm come to help make it easier to find the other shell, she had nothing but time.

"Alright. Fair enough. But first, what is your name? I'm Albatross."

"Oh yes, probably," she conceded, tail flicking back and forth. Pieced didn't think she was a good mother. She wasn't bad, her kids had be well fed and cared for, but she felt she lacked patience quickly when the babes had been rowdy.

"I'm Pieced Together," She answered, head dipping a little, quick and jerky.

"Pierced Together, I bless with you much needed relaxation. Your brood will grow up to be insanely smart, capable, hardy, and self sufficient kin who will greatly enhance the swamp." Without much of a flourish, Albatross tossed a casual farewell over her shoulders before continuing the hunt for the other shell.
