[Solo] Wistera Path seeks a strange dream
Wisteria was a bit of a quiet soul. Other kin ran here, there, sure of themselves. Sure of their paths. But their own... They recalled vividly the beautiful path of their first dream. The vibrant violet petals strewn along a path between tall, misty trees. Ferns rustling, sparkling with dew. But as they grew, Wisteria only felt.... out of place. As if what they dreamed of, what they thought they would be, is not who they became.
Restless, they began searching strange and quiet places. Peeking behind rocks, under logs, never knowing quite what they sought - but seeking onward nonetheless. As the days passed, a pulse seemed to call to their heart - to seek into the deepest forest, through the tangled roots and shallow pools.
One moonfilled night, Wisteria saw a sparkling light hidden beneath a willows boughs, the light striking them to their very core. This! This is what they had looked for all this time! Nestled against the trunk of the willow, the luminous dark violet pulsed in time with their own heart.
Laying peacefully against the shining crystal, Wisteria fell trustingly to a deep dream.
A cave of reflecting crystals surrounded them, showing their current fine brown coat of dappled petals. Frowning slightly, Wisteria tilted their head as the reflection... shifted. Changed! Rippling through colors, from brightest pink to a black so dark there seemed to be no highlight at all - a shadow of a shadow!
Laughing, they shook their head. That was too much of a change, and not the one they wanted in their deepest heart. Focusing, watching the reflection shimmer and shift - the reflection changed to a lovely doe, seemingly made of a lovely blend of Wisteria, branches of the willow, and shimmering crystal reflections. Changing from the rich earth of their coat to a riot of color and living plants. Spring, come at last!
At Peace, Wisteria Path closed their eyes and slept on.
