Your kin lies down for the night, and when next they open their eyes, they are a wolf. Their companion wolf is beside them. What happens from there is up to you -- do they hunt together? Do they race, go for a swim? Do they fight? Be creative, or go for a classic.
Image The Hunters Song had been busy that day, with the help of Soul, Bark, and Howl he'd been successful in hunting several days worth of meat for the four of them to eat over coming days, meaning they had earned some well deserved rest. With a tired stretch he laid down with the wolves and eaglehound and called a sleep filled goodnight to his trio of companions.

He wasn't sure how long he slept, just that a noise, or a smell woke him up and easing to his hooves, he realized much had changed. Hooves had given way to paws, and his close hide had grown out, shaggier than he ever was. After a few moments he realized Soul was there at his side, watching him curiously. Their close bond meant he ended up with a flash of how he looked to Soul, in his head. He was a stunning white and grey wolf, and he grinned at Soul then. He'd always admired how his companions hunted and now it was his turn to try.
With a bark of excitement he was off and running marveling at how silent his paws were on the ground, at how sharp his senses were. He could make out Soul running along side him on near silent spectral paws, something he normally couldn't do. He lifted his nose and scented the air. Not far there was the thrilling scent of blood pumping through veins, and he howled, wheeling off that way to go after his prey.

His mouth parted in a vicious snarl as he snapped at a leg, catching it between sharp teeth, Soul leaping on their prey as well. The duo brought down the prey and easily dismembered it, eating their fill before resting awhile. The Hunters Song felt sated, though it wasn't long till he found himself eating more from their meat. Eventually he tired of that and he padded away from the mess, Soul at his side, and with a playful bark his companion was running and he was on the others heels, his own playful bark given.

They'd run together in the past, and to run together now, able to easily keep pace with one another was a thrilling feeling, one full of joy. It was almost like playing tag with a sibling, or well what that sort of thing tended to look like, running like this with Soul. He'd touch the others flank with his nose and take off running trying to out run him until he felt a nose on his side and so on. The two carried on this way for awhile before coming to a water source, causing them both to stop and drink deeply. He wasn't sure why he had woken up this way, but he was happy to have experienced it.

As he laid down to rest, eyes falling heavy he found himself wondering if this would be a permanent thing, or if he would find himself back in his own body the next time he opened his eyes. He wasn't sure which would be the better option, and neither was a bad one to him either. With a yawn he curled up, letting sleep claim him once more.
