Fools were aplenty in the swamp and while Winter did its best to cull the herd, still kin prospered and spread their reaches throughout new terrains as they should. This one in front of her wasn't so bad. Eager, green behind the ears, but honest and try hard at times. She was bemused by the entire situation and welcomed this new change of pace. This was a new era of her life and she could almost wistfully look back fondly to the days where she had her own clutch or two. It had been a long time and she did not begrudge others of seeking out blessings for she was in their shoes once before. Shifting from her gryphon form to that of a Mare, she waited with a dark smile. While some incorporated bargaining or an exchange, she wanted nothing for it. She preferred not to be tied down to one spot and possessions faded and got lost with the oncoming stormy season. And so she waited while the other doe was lost in her own thoughts.

Dark Fate was not in her element. She was confused and exploring new areas of the swamp and her life. She had a brood coming and she tried to not think too closely of what that meant for her body and the birthing process. And since hybrids were a consideration, she did not know if she would have kios, kimetis, or a mixture. Could she care for a kiokote? Are they different from Kimeti? What made them different? Body wise, they fit. They did all the things she did. Though she wondered about the rougher, furrier Totoma as well. Perhaps for a next season. All these thoughts swirled in her mind that she did not notice the tree she bumped into one was not a tree at all and was quite warm. Flames licked at her peripheral vision.

Doom didn't fancy herself a tree, mountain, rock or even a boulder. Why a kin would bump into her left her confused moreso than bemused. If this is how younger kin tended to act, much help and assistance were required indeed. She did not agree to be stewards when she met the MotherFather but that was neither here nor there. What happened now was completely in her control and the other kin had a tendency to talk in her sleep besides not paying attention her surroundings. Younger Doom, Gloom, and Look-See would have made an easy mark of this one.

"No." Doom explained patiently, "the birthing is not different for kimeti, kiokote, acha, totoma, or zikwa. The end result might be different but the uh titillating experience is the same."

Flames. Fire. Oh fuck, it spoke. And what "it" was- a fucking Mare. Dark Fate was caught with her mouth open wide enough to catch flies and a damn lynx. Fear crawled up her bent spine, heavy with the ones growing inside of her. She may have peed herself a little but if asked, she will say one of the little ones kicked her and made her do it.
