[B] A different kind of hunt (Hunts in Winter x Guardian)

Post by Lirilei »

Image Burning Cinders had been a very interesting buck, and their time together had been full of fun and adventure. Now, she found herself starting a new one, and went looking. She'd heard stories while traveling and hunting, she was sure most kin had, though as far as she was aware she'd never seen a legendary kin before. Though if the stories were true, they could be in any number of other non-kin shaped forms. So she wasn't entirely convinced she hadn't at least glimpsed one over time.

Now though she was looking for more than glimpse, she was searching with purpose though currently she was hunting for some food. A pale tail stuck out beneath some leaves, and she crept up on it, not sure what it was, but hoping it was edible as she closed her teeth around said tail.

It was not.

The pale marine iguana's body grew hard and she was unable to bite the tail, though she noticed scarring on the pale body, and an old bite mark as it pulled away from her mouth and moved away from her. Clearly it had been injured at some point, just not by her.

She stared at it long and hard a moment, wondering why she couldn't bite it, when it shifted, her neck craning upward as she took in the mare standing before her, Hunts letting out a startled cry and stepping backward. This had to be one of those fabled legendary kin!

"That's a first for me, having a kin trying to eat me when I'm a marine iguana." the mare mused quietly, laughter in her tone, even as Hunts stumbled over her words apologizing. "It's alright, really. You meant no harm. Now, I think you were looking for me, but not for a meal correct?"

Hunts was surprised, but nodded, trying to find her voice. "Ye-yes! I was, how did you know?" "I have my ways." the pair talked for a few minutes and Guardian gave a warm smile. "May the MotherFather bless your children with the same kind heart you have, and to find their own passion that drives them."
