[imgleft]http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgleft]Slay, in his history of being a generally pleasant buck and encountering pretty does, had experience with Legendaries, and his opinion of them was that they were very scattered and unpredictable. It would first be best if he could consistently find one, though he had luckily been able to conveniently find one at any given point that he needed them.
After this very close encounter with a lovely doe, however, he made some preparations and asked around. As it turned out, a couple of helpful kin (well, one was helpful, the other was...strange) were on their way away from a Legendary. This Legendary was appropriately in a relatively fixed place and she said esoterically that there were perhaps not one but two Legendaries there at any given point of time, so it was odds-on that he would encounter one for sure. Bring an offering, so she said.
He brought a fresh foxbun body, because that was what a buck like him would deem an acceptable offering, and journeyed resolutely towards the fixed gathering of Legendaries.
In that period of time, however, Bitter End had asked Sleepless about transformation flowers and they had been considering a scientific jaunt away from Sleepless' witchy abode to find one. Bitter End was making her preparations to potentially leave, which meant she had mucked around in the foggy puddles around to gather some edible twigs and was waiting for a preserved food delivery from Rise and Shine before watching for a day with good weather to embark on said jaunt. She had no clue what transformation flowers looked like. She supposed they would perhaps find out.
[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ncert6.png[/imgright]When she heard a heavy approach, she peered out and did not see a kin with preserved foods. It was a big handsome buck who was probably there for Sleepless and Bitter End supposed she had better intercept just in case Sleepless would no longer be interested in finding a transformation flower with her. Not that she cared. But she had already traded off a bunch of herbs for their trail mix rations.
So she turned into that horrible furry multipawed creature and pattered sternly towards the big handsome buck who was likely to have gotten someone pregnant and was not going to be interested in her either.
Mild past trauma saw Slay briefly open his mouth in slack-jawed horror and drop the now not-so-fresh-and-rather-muddy foxbun corpse into a puddle. He then hurriedly picked it up.
"Good...puppy?" he queried, vaguely waving the foxbun about.
Bitter End as a long furbody looked mildly offended and raised the forehalf of her length.
He threw the foxbun right smack into the beak and backed away.
Well, End couldn't blame him. That was a solid plan for dealing with weird wild critters trying to eat him. She proceeded to wash it off with little paws in a cleaner puddle.
"Do your glowing eyes mean I'm talking to a Legendary, or is it just a...a puppy?? thing."
[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgleft]End looked up with her bright eyes from a third dip of the foxbun.
"If you're a Legendary, may I have a blessing please," he said neatly, but his hooves looked ready to flee at aggression.
End sighed as a long furbody and it rippled through her fur. He was boring, which was offensive given how big and handsome he was. She turned into a mare.
"That was not a puppy," she dismissed, throwing the cleaner foxbun onto her back.
"Oh good," he said with palpable relief, "I hadn't thought it was.
"But you are a Legendary."
"Yes, yes, you have knocked up a pretty kin, what do you want."
Slay was pleased he didn't have to ask for a blessing to be disdainfully given the opportunity.
"I would like them to find strength from within."
Bitter End squinted.
"Yeah all right."
"Where is the singing?"
He asked genuinely.
"What singing??"
"When you talk to the Motherfather and sing to bless me."
She squinted harder.
"No, I do not have to sing to bless you.
"This is fine.
"Now scram."
Slay spent a while taking one step and looking back, another step and looking back, and resenting the loss of a perfectly good foxbun if this didn't work out. How would he know if she didn't sing?
Bitter End stared at him until he went away. Then she looked up at the sky.
"I don't, right??"
