Darkness
enveloped and wet
Misstep
plunged into thick dirt
Water
splashed into my eyes
Mud
blinded me

On the edge of the stream, she looks into the water.
The stars are reflected on the surface, shimmering in the ripples of the stream. They look peaceful, like
swimming stars.
Ruin and Rebirth

She is the beginning and the end, a silent soldier.
The world is desolate, bare. No life remains but her, and she is the cause. A single spoken word from her mouth caused this utter ruin. Darkness reigns, and she would cry if she were who she once was.
But she has another duty yet. From the ashes of her destruction, a single plant blooms, the start of rebirth. Nothing will live without causing another's death.
She is the beginning and the end, a soldier of ruin and rebirth.
Screams at Dawn

The screams were all around her, the dawn sky turning colors like blood and gore with their vibrancy. All she wanted was to find the source of the screaming, and at the edge of the world with the mocking daybreaking sky around her that she found her answer.
It was she who screams at dawn.

Do you want it?
Do you feel it?
Do you see it?
(No!)
A miracle.
He set it on fire without a thought. I would burn a miracle. Destroy it all; hope, magic, dreams, fantasies. There's no room for it in this world.

"I can't sleep,"
she whispered to him. For it was far too great.
"Just hold on,"
he replied. For it would come to her, if she'd wait.
"I'm here with you, under these colors,"
she said, pressing her side against him.
"I'll stay with you, there is no other,"
he said in return, entwining their limbs.
"We share a name,"
"We share a wonder."

Every morning, a thousand birds woke to sing in the morning choir, with beautiful, enchanting songs.
She sang along.
Laced in Love

Thin filaments, like spider webs or spun silk, were carefully draped on the sleeping filly in intricate and delicate patterns. Attended by the creatures around her, doting and cooing, she was well cared for, even as they swallowed her form in a cocoon. She was laced in love.
Violet Visions

He opened his eyes.
He opened his eyes.
He opened his eyes.
He opened his eyes.
Each time, he couldn't see beyond the colors that filled his sight. There were only the violet visions, like a violent prison.

Song of Peace

She was an average Totoma, despite her mixed heritage. She was strong, and the only unusual thing about her was her lovely singing voice. She was rather quiet, not butting into others' affairs... until one day. When two Totoma, bull-headed and constantly fighting with each other, threatened to bring their families to war with each other, it was this nameless Totoma doe who soothed the rage inside them with her singing, begging them not to cause a pointless war. It was her song of peace that finally calmed down these bickering Totoma, and allowed the two families to live in harmony again.
