The fish acha had been circling nearby for days without ever actually coming closer to where she was currently training a group of whale sharks. She'd expected him to meet her before she'd needed to set things into motion herself but, clearly, that had been a foolish expectation. It was with some regret and annoyance that she let the whale sharks do as they pleased and turned towards the direction she'd last glimpsed the fish tail that was attached to a kin in want. There was a pang of envy that he had such a tail but then she didn't need one to swim. Plus she could have an even better tail when she was a whale shark herself. But still, she couldn't help the dream of fish children that would want to stay at the ocean's side with her.

It took her time, not that she would admit it, to find the acha. He had apparently taken a wrong turn or perhaps he'd given up because he was much further away than she had imagined he would be and she was almost (but not quite) panting with the exertion it had taken to catch up to him. It'd have taken even longer if she hadn't stayed a kin but even so it had taken a lot more effort that she felt was necessary and she finally called out.

"Stop!" the yell echoed through the area, "Or so help me, I'll bless you into a slug!" And no one had to know that she couldn't do that. Not if it got him to finally stop so that she could stop dying. She had made her life swimming in the ocean, not running on land. And it was only now she wondered at how out of shape she was to even be a kimeti. Swimming was so much easier.

What? A slug? Did someone say something about eating a slug? Ewwwww. They were slimy alright and so not worth the effort. Even the caveworms weren't so bad but they had a lot of goo and meat on them so it made it worth it for when hunting was slim pickings. He wasn't much into foraging. Pausing from biting some berries off of a random bush, he turned to the voice, his face splattered with red juices.

"Slug? blessing? What? OH BLESSING. You want me to give you slugs in return for a blessing?"

Breach wrinkled her nose in horror at the idea; she did not need slugs, especially not in return for a blessing, "No slugs," she cut in quickly in the hopes of tossing that idea out of the way. Silently, to herself, she noted not to threaten kin in the future. The lot of them were far too nonsensical to see such declarations for the frustration or threat that they were meant to be. And while she could find use for slugs, bait came to mind, she didn't need any right now.  Nor did she want to become known as the Legendary who wanted slugs.

"I only wanted you to stop moving. My legs were made for swimming, not running," she huffed, slightly embarrassed by the truth.

Now that the acha had stopped, she could catch her breath. She breathed in deep and then fixed her gaze on the fish acha.

"Now, you want a blessing for your offspring," she confirmed, "but what do you want for them?" If left to her own decisions, she'd bless them to live happy, healthy lives of course but she also always wanted kin to know what adventures were; there was nothing like the thrill of finding a new place or a new creature like she had.

He dared to chew when the Mare rebuked him. And another chew. He would later retell his HEROIC feat of meeting with a Mare and bargaining down his firstborn to something more manageable for a blessing. It would be a fantastical retelling complete with exaggerations and corny hyperbole, but only if he survived this encountering. Honestly, he was buying time because he had no idea what to offer or that they should bring gifts aplenty. It was a complete oversight on his part and it didn't make things better that he was famished. Hangry really. Hungry and angry, it was not the best mix and he was a little dim. BUT EARNEST! He swished his tail.

"So...." and a little berries juice dribbled down his face. "Yes, I would love a blessing! And I have things to give you. Yes. Great things." He twirled around in place, his tail hitting the bush which caused more berries to descend. Oh no. But oh yes.

"I have found this wonderful berries bush. I even tested it before meeting you to make sure it wasn't poisonous! I bring you this great find to bargain for a blessing, oh magnificent Mare. PLZDON'TKILLME."

Breach couldn't help but gape at the audacity and the outright lie. Instead of killing him, which had merit (she had to admit), she burst out laughing at his stupidity.

"I'm not going to kill you though you shouldn't lie to those offering you help," she snorted. "I hope your children live long, happy healthy lives and come far more prepared than their father. And while I hope they are as funny as you, I hope they do not lie," she offered, pointedly.

And because she was hungry, she took a few berries herself. "Tart but delicious," she chuckled before sauntering off. She had actual things to do; unlike the buck who seemed only ready to fill his belly. It really was too bad he wasn't the one giving birth.
