Morning's Poison - [Naming origins/dreams]

A golden orb rose over the horizon
The sun, a presence to be revered
The air was crisp and delectable,
but something twisted it into a fowl odored thing.
Birds lifted their wings and flew
Rabbits ran through the underbrush,
but not all escaped unclaimed.
Lifeless husks lay on the ground, wet with morning dew
A sickly stench laced with toxins crawls through the swamp
lit only by the morning's rays.

Shadows of kin
running,
running
A wide set river
flowing,
flowing
Cross it the kin must to escape
The clawing beast that rages behind
Thick and fast the water flows
Ripping past their knees
Wet and fierce in their fur
Cold and stinging against their skin
The beast follows
Panic,
panic
Wonders Best Forgotten - [Naming origins/dreams]

The dark void of stars whispered its secrets,
Told of horrendous truths.
Eyes squeezing shut and yelling
Could not stop the sounds.
Unwarranted and evil,
sad and atrocious.
All one could wish for
was to forget.

original wrote:He was never very social, even when he was just a foal. He distanced himself from the other kin, who joked about his oddities. He stayed off by himself and wondered if they would ever think of him as anything more than a topic to tease. Calls rang into the night, a young kins name, fore they had became lost. He looked at the sky and followed the stars. They led him to the lost kin, hiding in fear. He led them back to safety, following the sky. And that's when he was deemed Stars Guide to Victory.
Lonely foal, won't you play with the other kin?
No, no they are cruel and dastardly. Jokes of dumbness they say to the lonely foal. Off to themselves they wander, sad and hurt. The lonely foal thought to themselves
will they ever play nice with me? The sky darkened and the crickets began to sing their old song. Calls from guardians rang on with the crickets, singing a different tune. A name, the lonely foal knew. They looked to the stars and they sparkled at them. A message, understood. The lonely foal marched into the forest, guided only by the sparkling sky. Whimpers soon came to his ears. A kin, hiding in fear of unknown terrors, he saw. The kin latched onto the foal's tail and the foal looked to the stars again. The starts twinkled once more, and the foals followed them. Safety the sky had brought them, leading them back to the guardians. The foal had never felt such praise and admiration until that moment.
The other kin rejoiced and deemed them Stars Guide to Victory.

Drip,
Drip,
It follows
The sky is dark and unlit by stars
A creeping shadow hastily pursues a small kin
Will they escape, or will they be caught?
Drip,
Drip,
It follows
Cornered on this dark night, no way to escape
The face that haunts has teeth and glowing eyes
Only a creature from the mind could be so horrible
Drip, drip, honey seeps from its skin

Not right, not right
The ground unstable, rocking
Too soft to be dirt and rock.
The trees, the animals, everything in sight
rocking to and froe
Not right, not right
Where am I?
I'm scared, I'm scared
rocking, to and froe
Trapped in a realm of jelly
Unstable and spinning
All by their lonesome

A peaceful morning, pleasant and quiet
but for the birds chirp ringing true.
Above not a cloud to be seen,
but in the distance rain-scent blooms
Rays of light travel across the open sky
shortly behind a shadow crawls,
Rolling clouds heavy with burden.
Supple kisses of rain they spill
Blessing the parched land.
