[B] Autumn's harvest [Daymare/Death's/???]

"It's a lot, but it'll be alright," the buck assured the pale doe as they moved slowly through the swamp. This wasn't his first clutch, but it was hers.  He understood how nerve-wracking the first time could be, and he hadn't even been the one carrying the babes.  He imaged that made things a bit more stressful, so he was eager to do what he could to make things easier on Daymare.

"We'll find someone willing to give us their blessing, and everything will go just fine."  He was fairly certain of that. Certainly sounded more confident than he actually felt, but none of the nerves he was feeling leaked into his voice.

[imgleft]https://matope-swamp.com/images/corn/daymare_uncert.png[/imgleft]She was with-child. Daymare walked quietly with her companion pondering over his words. She knew it could have happened and it did, but it was her first time. How would this experience change her life?

She wasn’t blind and had watched it all happen to others before her. However, it was different this time. It was her body that now harbored new life. Daymare didn’t doubt his words, though. Everything would turn out fine. “Certainly, and hopefully sooner rather than later,” she replied. Frankly, she would rather be home, today more than ever.

[imgleft]http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... ncert3.png[/imgleft] The Swamp must have sensed their desire because they were not left wandering alone for very long at all. A small Acha crossed onto their path, her smile warm and delighted, as though they were family that she had been searching for and finally found.

Which yes, she had indeed been searching, and since they were about to receive a very nice blessing, she also considered them family.

“Hello there!” She called, approaching with a bounce to her step.

"Yes," he agreed, smiling down at her, before the sound of approaching hooves pulled his attention up again.  The buck blinked as he watched the acha, head tilted a little to one side as she wandered right up to the pair of them with an enthusiastic greeting.

"Sooner than expected," he mused aside to Daymare, voice quiet and amused. To the acha he gave a little dip of his head.  "Hello."

“To you as well,” Daymare breathed a little sigh of relief. She had dropped her guard for one second before stiffening once more. A dark thought ran through her mind, “Death, How can we be sure this is the one we’re looking for?” She whispered.

Peep waited patiently as they whispered to each others, smiling pleasantly. It was rare to find a couple to bless together, something she always enjoyed. It just meant there was more love and excitement to be shared.

"I hope I'm not intruding," she said softly. "I've come to assist you." She waited half a second and then added, "you are going to be parents."

The buck shifted just enough so he was subtle between the two mares.  He knew the acha wasn't about to harm them, but he was an imposing presence himself, and if he could offer Daymare a sliver of reassurance by that alone, he would.

As she murmured to him he gave a little shake of his head and a patient smile as he dipped in close to whisper back to her. "Because she found us." He wasn't sure how better to explain it.  To him it was something like a gut feeling, or a leap of faith.  He couldn't say why he knew, he just did.  "I won't let anything happen to you." He nosed up beside her ear, a gentle brush before lifting his gaze back to the acha.

"We are, and we'd very much like your blessing, if you're willing to give it." Formality and manners never hurt.

Daymare gave Death a measured look without fully taking her gaze off of the Acha. Well, if he trusts them, I guess I will too. She slowly circled around Death, moving a little closer. “I’m Daymare and this is Death’s Timeless Embrace, may I ask your name?” She gently asked. Formality was a good idea and introductions were always important.

“My name is Peep,” she answered the doe, smiling reassuringly. And to the buck she nodded, “I would be delighted,”

They seemed like a nice pair. Their children would hardly need a blessing at all but knowing it would give them peace of mind was more than a good enough reason.

“May your children be healthy and with hearts full of kindness.” There wasn’t anything overly mystical about the blessing but maybe Peep’s eyes seemed to glow a bit more and her presence was like a gentle hug.

“All will indeed be fine. You need not worry. Though telling a mother to worry is telling a fish not to swim,” she laughed. “But for now, farewell.” Peep dipped her head and transformed, a sweet little foxbun hopping away into the brush.
