Sweet Meat had been surprised when Shiny Thing told him he was going to be a father. He'd tried several times with other does with no success, he started to wonder if he was broken.

His head full of relief that he's not, and worry about these new lives he's helped create. Shiny Thing had sent him off to find a blessing, but he's pretty sure he'd just been going in circles.

Acorn had given up on ignoring the swamp. She could avoid the pull for a time, but the swamp always got Her way eventually. She'd been following this tugging for a few days, and is not at all surprised to see a buck.

He seems worried, pacing in a large circle, as if trying to get somewhere but so caught up in his thoughts he just keeps going round and round.

Acorn takes the few steps needed to be in his path, and greets him when he comes back around. "Hello. How are you?"

Sweet Meat doesn't register the other kin in time and bumps right into her. Startled, he steps back. "I'm sorry, wasn't watching where I was going. Are you okay?"

Acorn stumbles back a step, but catches herself before she can tumble over. "I'm fine, yes. I should've realized you were too preoccupied to see me, sorry."

Sweet Meat is about to reply, when he notices her eyes, something about them... they glow, is that normal for a kiokote? But lots of kin have glowing eyes. There's something.. knowing about them? Like an old grandmother who's seen many things. Or maybe, like one who's been touched by the MotherFather.

That must be it! She's a mare, she has to be! "I know I've just caused a bit of trouble, and I didn't even think to bring a gift.", oh no what if she demands a gift? Refuses to help without an offering? He really is unprepared for this. "uhh but w-would you bless my children? Please? We'd be very grateful if you would, I'd owe you a great debt! Since I didn't bring a token."

Acorn frowns a bit, do other chosen demand gifts? Refuse service without them? They must if he's so worried about it. "May your children be happy and healthy." She says, giving him a smile and a wink, "Given freely."

He grins, feeling a mix of relief, delight, and still a bit silly. "Thank you so much! If you ever need help, I'm Sweet Meat, don't hesitate to ask!"

Acorn smiles and nods, "You're welcome, and thank you, and have a good day!" She says, already turning to leave.

Sweet Meat makes his way back to Shiny Thing, amazed at just how short the return is. He really didn't get far.
