The totoma doe was always quiet and well-behaved, so none expected it when she began to sneak off to join the nightly fighting in her tribe. It was a secret ring of totoma who fought one another to test their strength and mettle, with many hoping a good fight would earn a name. For her, however, she reveled in the battle even when she was wounded, happy with the results of her fights. When morning came, there was no trace of her fighting aside from the blood she lost, stained on her fur and her battlegrounds.
