Name Origin: This Totoma was never the strongest doe, nor was she anything remotely resembling sharp-sighted. It was often said she inherited her father's catlike footing and quietness, however, but in a swamp increasingly full of Zikwa, that was hardly an achievement of its own.

When a sleeping beast separated her and her newborn foals from her sacs, however, this doe kept calm and quiet. She scruffed one foal and gently deposited him under a bush, where he was likely to remain safe and hidden. With catlike grace and surety of footing, she found her way around the beast, carefully depositing her first quiet lamb, then circling around it twice more. Only once her foals were tucked away by her sacs did she challenge the creature, sending it running when she bellowed at it, knowing her babies were safe behind her.

She became known for her Cat-Like Tread.

Name Origin: He had always been a quiet child, somewhat intense, who stuck close to his pearl-dealing mother and peered seriously at the pearls she cracked out of the oysters and mussels she retrieved (although he did not care for the swimming parts). As a lamb and foal, he nosed the biggest and best of the pearls apart, then, when he had grown too big for such delicate manouevers, directed Conch's well-trained claws to pick the pearls about. The biggest and the best, "- and the rest, Mother," he huffed sometimes, "you might as well cast before swine." (Whatever that meant.) His intensity had grown to match his frame.

"He's quality control for my wares, I suppose," his mother would chuckle (a little nervously), "he's very good at that, Quality Control."

Name Origin: He had a reputation for recklessness, to the point that many kin found him life-threateningly stupid. It seemed he could never refuse a challenge, be it cliff-jumping, animal-wrangling, or eating potentially poisonous mushrooms. It was hard to pick just one of his many feats for a name, so they settled on one that suited them all— Daredevil.

Name Origin: She's known for two things: sleeping a frankly absurd amount that makes many kin concerned for her health, and a vicious streak that absolutely will not quit. These two traits combined mean that waking her up is ill advised. After the first couple of times she gored a poor concerned tribemate for daring to try rousing her from her sleep, intentionally or in a half-conscious haze, kin started referring to her as "the terror" or "the sleeping terror" just to preemptively warn others not to mess with her while she's getting her rest.

While not the most "honorable" name a Totoma could be given, she takes it in stride.
