Hidden Beauty had gotten too close to the hole the stump used to reside in. She was now stuck here so she figured she might as well do something like catch some food. She started fishing off the edge of the stump. After a while, she caught a fish. Hidden Beauty looked at the fish and shrugged. It was colorful, sure, but it seemed normal enough for her. She shrugged again and then moved on to find something else to do on the stump.

"The darkness?" Endless Dawn sputtered. "What do you mean 'the darkness'?"

He might be a little paranoid about what that could mean, but who could blame him? The last thing he remembered was being near a strange tree stump and suddenly he was on a ship in the middle of the freaking ocean. There's even the stump, floating about, as if that's normal. And now there's a "darkness"? What Endless Dawn wants is a shower, not an adventure.
