Naming Story:
It had been days since a carefree afternoon in sun had turned from a dream to a nightmare. Days since her twin had taken off with a wolf nipping at his tail. The adults couldn't find him, not even a trace, and after two suns had set they'd given him up for dead.
But she knew better -- Her brother was clever, he always won seek and hide when they played. But when it mattered the most, she'd rise to the occasion. Seeking out the little crevice in the rock that he'd wedged himself into. She found him, when no one else could.
Naming Story:
The wolves had come out of nowhere. None of them had heard it approach, and by the time they realized they were in danger it was too late to do anything but run. She didn't look back to see if any were on her own heels, she ran. She ran until it sun sank low and stars came out. She ran until darkness covered the world and she sank near seamlessly into it. Until only the tip of her nose was visible. Hiding through the night until the danger had passed and the sun was coming up.
