Perhaps she should have been called The Lucky One, but it just wouldn’t have the same ring. The pink doe was always the bold type, never hesitating to push the limits. One odd, cloudy evening, she was playing with some friends when they got the brilliant idea to climb a big pointy hill, a test of courage of sorts. Around this time there was a storm brewing and the ground rumbled beneath their hooves every now and again. Some of her friends wanted to seek shelter but the brazen doe convinced them otherwise.

She assured them that everything would be fine and she bolted up the hill, shouting, “You can’t catch me!”  At the top, she danced to the edge of an exposed outcropping. As if on cue, a deafening boom and blinding flash stunning all present. Their ears were ringing and their sight was blurred.

One of them approached our pink doe’s smoking form and jumped, as she heard her let out a haggard cough. She survived being Lightning Struck.
