ME AND MY FAMILY!

RP & poem: Approaching the group of Kin telling poems, Rose was excitedly bouncing trying to play with the motes and even catch them. Her ears perked up when she heard a poem being recited about the kin's family.

"Ooh, are we telling poems about families?" She said as she approached the group. She sat with the group and waited until her turn came up.

"Family is the spark in my mate's eyes when I come home.
Family is the sound of my children's voices when they first sang
Family is coming together after a long day apart
Family is the friends I gained through my life
Family is the life I made with the ones I love
Family is who I hold dearly in my heart forevermore."

She stood up and before she left she addressed the group and the Helper hosting the group. "Thank you for letting me join in, but now I have to find my darling so he doesn't feel alone in this pitch dark. I had a lovely time." And she pranced off.

The zikwa artist considered Kindly's request. In truth, he'd come up to the fire to watch and wait until the embers cooled and the ashen remains cooled. He needed fresh charcoal. But it would be rude to refuse. He considered, then spoke in turn.

"Family is the voices who join with yours in song.
Family is the ones who want to hear your stories again and again.
Family is warmth and welcome when I wax weary.

My family is soft sunny smiles.
My family is....the open heart."

Now leapt to their feet when it was their turn to speak. They didn't have a conventional family, but felt no less strongly about it.
