3: The familiar is uncertain, and watches closely.
Nope. That didn't seem to do it. They snorted a bit in exasperation. Getting closer seemed like they'd just spook it... maybe rolling onto their side would show they meant no harm?

3: The familiar is uncertain, and watches closely.
"Hello new friend." she said gently, crouching down to the fox's level so she didn't seem so intimidating.

4: The familiar is uncertain, and approaches slightly.
It was right near them now, just placing one little insectoid claw on a front hoof. The grass tickled their nose, just a bit... Boy this would be a terrible time to sneeze.

3: The familiar is uncertain, and watches closely.
Of course it wouldn't just instantly fall in love with her. She continued to speak softly. "You're quite lovely you know."

2. The familiar watches you warily!
Oh no, the fox was getting skittish! Harmony scooched back a little, hoping a little space would make them more relaxed.

3: The familiar is uncertain, and watches closely.
As if to taunt them, it had stopped. Right. There. They let out a wordless grumble of disappointment, trying to keep it quiet enough for the mantis not to be able to hear it. Did mantises hear? They'd never thought about it before...

4: The familiar is uncertain, and approaches slightly.
Ah, maybe that was the trick. Harmony stayed still and waited to see if the fox would come closer.

5: The familiar is enthralled! +1 ticket
After a long, agonizing wait, the mantis clambered atop Arbitrary's plump little back and rested. Success? Tiptoeing their way so as not to dislodge the precious buggy cargo, they sniffed back to their own trail. Time to retrace their steps all the way back to Celery and Grassrustle...

A Heavy Tort has appeared!
Waters Grace smiled warmly when she came upon the tort grazing on some lush grass by a tree. As much as she loved torts, it was not quite what she was looking for.

The familiar is very displeased and immediately runs away!
She sighs as the fox runs away. Pity. She would have loved to have been it's friend.

A Wish Furb has appeared!
Waters Grace had to choke down a scream as she turned the corner around the tree. That...damned furb was sitting there in the middle of the pathway, staring soullessly at her. "Please go away," she said, backing up and turning another way.

A Beast Badger has appeared!
Waters Grace nearly barreled right into the next creature she came upon. It bared its teeth at her, letting out a growl. "Sorry about that," she told the badger, giving it a wide berth.
