Dahlia lives on the swamp's edge, where the swamp and ocean meet. He doesn't live exactly on the beach, but close enough that the pounding waves are a constant sound.

Alabaster is deaf, relying on her senses of sight and smell to make her way through the swamp. Gypsum, her foxbun, often acts as her ears warning her if danger sounds close. Communication is a struggle for Alabaster, so much so that she rarely interacts with others. When she does, it's with crude pictures she'll 'talk'. Drawing out what needs to be said.

Alabaster makes her home in one of Matope's rare clearings, a place open enough for ample light to get in. She hopes the opennes of her chosen home will discourage predators.

Personality
Rat is somewhat lazy, just as content to lay about as do anything else. In most cases at least, she does love to swim and fish. Other then that it generally takes a lot of prodding from her brother to get her motivated. This laziness invades all aspects of her, often times causing others to think she doesn't care. Especially when she doesn't bother changing that mistake. She simply says what she thinks on a matter and won't bother arguing to try and convince anyone of it. Anytime she does put effort into something it's one of two things, she's dead set on doing it or trying to convince someone to believe it, or Shard has bugged her about it to the point that she's doing it just to get him to shut up about it.
Some might say that this lay attitude is Shard's fault. Her brother has always doted on her, giving her what ever she wanted if he could. Even going so far as to shoulder the blame for here when she'd get into mischief as a foal.

Shard is the opposite of his sister, always ready to do something and never one to let his opinions be run over or dismissed. He's loyal, feeling family should come first. Even as a child he'd stick by his siblings no matter what. It's this reason that has kept him with Rat, despite how much she annoys him with her laziness. The fact is, he loves his sister, and no matter the birth order he's always doted on her like a big brother. He loves all his siblings, but what he'd never tell anyone is that Rat is his favorite.

Acorn still feels the need to prove herself, but after being chosen by the MotherFather, and hearing the words she - in the form of a huge buck made up of plants and branches - had, Acorn is less inclined to disdain her own body for being smaller. Now she seeks to teach others that small is not a bad thing, be it in regards to one being a runt or simply that one's people are small, or even among animals and plants. All were given life by the MotherFather, all are worthy in Her eyes and all deserve love and acceptance. As well, Acorn wishes to collect stories. Lots of stories, new stories, old stories, new versions of old stories, mayhap even help to create a few herself. True stories as well as great made-up tales that serve no purpose more then to pass time, and maybe teach a lesson in life.
Runt, slow, weak. These words have followed Acorn all her life. Never mind that she's just slightly smaller then other does her age. Never mind the fact that she can out run even them half the time. Others simply see her size and assume she's less then fit. Dealing with such a social stigma has left her always feeling the need to prove herself, no matter the cost. Acorn pushes herself relentlessly, almost as if she's mad at her body for being smaller. It's this reason that drove her to leave her tribe, made her decide to follow the call for this trek. If she can make it to this swamp that others have spoken of, find these Kimeti who are like-but-not-like Kiokote. Then she can show her tribe that smaller doesn't mean weak or unable.

Bug is somewhat of a wanderer, that is her 'territory' is huge and she simply wanders through it. Really, it's big enough to take weeks to get from one end to another. Bug doesn't really see it as her land, it's just the patch of swamp she's most familiar with. Really, the only parts of it she marks as her's are a few food gathering spots and where she has her den set up. She'll only leave the area if she can't find a tasty tidbit or someone to talk to.

Skystain isn't the stick around type, though if she likes you enough she'll keep coming back. For the most part she's more into exploring and seeking out treasure. Skystain's idea of treasure is mostly anything pretty and/or shiny. However anything that catches her eye is worth taking. These items are stashed away in all kinds of hidey holes, their locations carefully stored in Skystain's memory.

Flesh is a ladies man, a womanizer. He says and does (what he hopes is) the right thing to win a doe's heart. But the minute he grows bored of her he leaves her. Flesh will stick around for the children if the doe wants him too. In this case he'll be polite to the doe, even friendly, but will not show her the same affection he did when they were together.
((Flesh is a complete womanizer. His one saving grace (if you can call it that) is the fact that he'll focus one only one doe at a time. So long as she keeps his interest he'll be exclusive to her (unless she wants it otherwise). He can be charming and gentlemanly when he chooses, but pretty much he looks at females as being in the swamp to please (in every sense of the word), and he's not shy to ask outright for some of those pleasures XD Or to give as good as he gets. In his opinion making a lady happy will make him happy. he can, however, get bored of a doe quickly. I haven't actually RPied him yet, I don't think. But he's been running through my mind since I got him trying to woo all my does XD))

Much like her twin brother, Eternal believes almost everything is possible. This makes her able to do things most cannot. She loves to explore, but she is a very calm and sedate Kimeti. She loves her brother infinitely, though he spends most of his time with their brother, so she feels constantly shunned by him.

Catkin is easily distracted, by anything and everything. It is as much a short attention span as it is he simply sees the beauty and wonder in things. Often he'll stop mid-race to watch a hummingbird or the clouds. For this he is ridiculed, for he is one of the fastest in his tribe. At least, when he can manage to stay focused long enough to win.

Catkin left his tribe when the Ache hit him, feverish dreams of humid air and tightly packed foliage followed by a deep pain in his joints. A longing in his heart. It hurt to leave his family, but it hurt more to stay. He was young, just barely old enough to breed. Scared to go, scared to stay. The Ache pushed him, though, until he relented and went.

The journey was long, lonely and rambling. Catkin got lost several times, directions and tracking being his weakest aspect. It was not lonely for long, though. He found a cheetah just a few weeks after departing. A little male at that awkward age between cub and adult. Old enough to hunt and mate, but still too young to have much common sense. The cheetah was full of boundless energy, too eager to pick a master, too unknowing to make a good choice. Luck was on his side, since Catkin accepted him. He was named Ring-tail, for the stripes on his tail.

Finally they reach the swamp. Catkin is not wholly sure this is where the Ache has called him, but for now it will do. The air and plants match his fever-dreams, at least. So it is a place to start.

Sorrel loves plants. She especially loves creating tasty things - or even just pretty things - with them. These bits are usually gifted to her family and friends. The edible ones are often sampled by her first to make sure flavors mesh well. Being Spiral's daughter, Sorrel is a good hunter. Meat isn't her first food choice, but seeing as mom is an avid hunter and fisher Sorrel and all her siblings were taught to hunt and fish as well. Sorrel typically only hunts or fishes if she plans to pair the meat with some type of plant, fruit or other vegetation or fungus.
Sorrel is pretty calm and well thought out, planning most things well in advance before doing them. If she has already made plans for the day it takes a lot of wheedling from someone to get her to change those plans. Usually this only happens if it is her parents or siblings. Friends who try to change Sorrel's plans usually get something like "We can do it tomorrow, I'm busy today." That said Sorrel is as good as her word and will follow through with what ever it is she agreed to do.
Aside from cooking Sorrel also enjoys gardening. Her gardens, as she has three, are as much her pride and joy as her 'cooking' and crafting. Sorrel's gardens are like this; one for 'cooking' plants, one for Mugwort's medicinal plants and one for fun and pretty things. The fun comes in the form of hallucinogenic plants, as she and Mugwort both dabble in them a bit. Her gardens are arranged close together as some plants over lap. Especially plants with flowers or fruit, since many of those can be used to decorate as well as eat. Several of her hallucinogens also double as healing herbs as well. Mugwort helps her tend her gardens as well, as both Kimeti work closely together on finding new uses for the plants they gather.

Mugwort is loyal and very overprotective of family and friends. Especially his siblings. Birth order does not matter to him, Mugwort considers himself the oldest in the sense that he keeps an eye out for his siblings. He is not all seriousness though, as he often indulges in banter and teasing with his brothers and sisters. However he will accept none of that from non family, even a sibling's life-mate would get a scowl or harsh word from Mugwort if he or she were to jest with one of his siblings in the same way. This often leads to family disputes, ones Sorrel tries to avoid by attempting to calm Mugwort's suspicions. As far as he is concerned no one outside the family deserves the right to banter, tease, jest, or poke fun at his siblings - even if his brothers and sisters enjoy it. As far as Sorrel sees it "It's all in fun, let them be."
He also has a fondness for plants, focusing mainly on the ones that can heal and cure. Mugwort spends time with Sorrel tending her garden, she grows his plants as much because she enjoys it as because Mugwort has a hard time keeping them alive on his own. This doesn't bother him, though, since the plants don't need to be alive to make poultices and medicines.

Ochre is like other Acha in most ways. The only difference being she has no rhythm. She can't dance or keep a beat no matter how simple. Her voice is as good, though, even if she is always a little off. Sometimes this bothers her, when she stops painting to think on it. Painting is her passion, Ochre will paint anything or anyone. Not just make pictures to represent specific Acha, but actually paint on them. It doesn't bother her that the color never lasts, it just means Ochre will never run out of Acha willing to be painted on. Her favorite paints are those made of her namesake, ochre ground and mixed with water. Or cactus juice if water is unavailable, as it often is. Even blood will do in a pinch, though it is highly disliked for it's own strong color. But anything with color to be extracted will be used. For her the joy is in the creating and not what others say about it, even if they generally say it is beautiful work. Stories of a swamp have drawn Ochre to go exploring, hoping there will be even more things to make. More colors to extract, more people to paint - of and on - and more things to see. Probably more then Ochre could ever possibly paint in a life time. Not that anything will stop her from trying.
