Nobody's guessed this guy! First person to tell me what he is gets a ticket!
This Australian lizard has upward-facing nostrils it can seal when it dives, making it even better adapted to water than the Asian water monitors.

14. A wayward marshfowl hen has made a nest here and then abandoned it. Tegus like eggs, right? +1 ticket.
6. A whole haunch of boar? For tegus? This is way too fresh. They nibble politely, but would prefer something a little grosser. No tickets, these animals are NOT sophisticated enough for this.
7. This rabbit has been sitting out for so long that it’s turned into jerky. The tegus do not want this! No tickets.
15. Blueberries! What are they doing blooming this late? Don’t question it, surrender the berries to the tegus. +1 ticket.
Story let out a deep sigh of contentment. The instant he was within the boundaries of
this particular booth he felt like he was home. Which was unsurprising with the fondness he held for the doe in charge. It felt as though he were seeing a very dear friend for the first time in ages, because he was. He smiled warmly at his friend and immediately got to work. There was always something new to learn in lending his time; there was always something that surprised him.
He hunted down all the things(or as close to) that his own precious tegu loved to eat at home, and hoped that it would be enough. All piled and said- Story wasn't entirely unhappy with what he'd found.
It was okay.
Not as good as he'd really wanted, and not nearly as great as the tegus deserved, but there were eggs and fruit ... That was going to have to be enough from him. For now.

5. You bring a strange, exotic fruit with skin like hide and a soft green inside. An avocado… thanks… They don’t eat it and look kinda disappointed. No tickets.
1. You’re at the beach, so you dig up a clam. The shell is hard… but not too hard for a durophagous scavenger. +1 ticket.
15. Blueberries! What are they doing blooming this late? Don’t question it, surrender the berries to the tegus. +1 ticket.
13. Jackpot! You find a rotting log that has an abandoned beehive and a bunch of turtle eggs. Drag this whole thing back to the beach, and if you’re the first person to hit 13, help yourself to a familiar by quoting Scara. [Won by Kala!] Also (and for everyone after), +2 tickets.
7. This rabbit has been sitting out for so long that it’s turned into jerky. The tegus do not want this! No tickets.
Phantom approached the booth cautiously, after having watched a few other kin attempt to feed the tegu items that suited their palate - with a small smile directed at the host, he decided to try his luck, and see if he could offer anything up that the tegu would approve of. When he returned, dragging a variety of items one after the other behind him, he was pleasantly surprised that more than half of his...offerings were accepted with some degree of gusto.
The favorite was an odd combination of an abandoned beehive and some turtle eggs, but to each creature their own, he supposed. After his attempts, he stayed to watch the tegu for a bit longer before finally wandering off to explore some of the other booths.

pretend i remembered to make my answer banner
1. The Argentine black and white tegu’s scientific name is
Salvator merianae. Where does the species name,
merianae, originate? Merianae refers to Maria Sybella Merian, a German naturalist who, as a middle-aged, divorced single mom in the 1690s, set sail for Suriname to study insects. Her studies on butterfly metamorphosis form the basis of our understanding of insect pupation today!
On her trip to South America, she drew this image of a tegu... but if you look at the loreal scales, there's only one, indicating this is a Columbian tegu,
Tupinambis teguixin, not the species named after her!

2. The word tegu comes from an indigenous word that means “lizard,” which is usually written as tejú or teyú and sometimes teiu… you get the idea. But which indigenous language family is this word from? (Note: Linguistic categorization is complicated, so there are multiple answers that I am accepting.)

Hidden Beauty had dug up a lot of grubs, managed to grab a rodent or two, and even fed the creatures a clam shell. She was amazed at how much they enjoyed the different things she’d brought them.
16. Grubs! Grubs are great grub. Just think of them like shrimp, but on land. +1 ticket.
