activity: When I came home from work today, I spent time in the bath for 30min with the jets on and read a manga. Its my zen/down time, today had been very busy/ over-stimulating~

activity: My husband and I always spend about 30 mins of his lunch break cuddling in bed while he decompresses from all his morning meetings, then we make up some lunch.

activity: I layed on the sofa, one cat on my stomach, the other snuggled up to my side, and just spent some time with them. Hearing and feeling there purring is so nice. :3

activity: I am a huge advocate for Zen practice, so something I do a lot to relax and calm myself is Zen meditation. I find a nice, quiet spot to get into a lotus position and focus on my breathing, allowing myself to separate from the thoughts and emotions currently in my body, and giving myself a chance to take a short break from them for a while. This usually "reboots" both my body and my mind so I can better sort out my thoughts and emotions. It also has physical effects of bringing down your heartbeat and blood pressure, helping you naturally get close to your own homeostatic biorhythm.
