RP: With his second wind carrying him far up into the climb, Smoldering Ember's resolve is unwavering, speeding up with every step and always looking out for a better, easier path to take on the way up. Before he rests for the day, the last leg of his climb takes him the farthest he's gone up the mountain so far. He is very satisfied with his progress.

RP: Not usually one to leave her garden, she showed up to silently support her.....whatever Story was to her. Not that she'd ever admit to remotely feeling a positive emotion for the meddlesome pain in the bark. Her ear twitched as she listened to something about mice and fowl. Marshfowl were loathsome creatures that scratched the eath, digging up her neat creations. So she guessed she would support this Mouse faction Story spoke of. Climb a hill? She could do that well enough she supposed.

It was rare for Little Voices to venture into a populated area where she might have to interact with other kin (oh the horror!), but she'd made and exception when word had come to her of a Mouse Faction that needed to be represented and a fellow that was more tree than kin. So she approached, tentative, her many mice huddled on her back and in her hair.

At first she listened and nibbled quietly on the provided food, letting her mice run back and forth, grabbing little snacks for the journey. Then without a word, she set off, to meet the challenge.

Steadily they trekked, stopping only to stop a scuffle between Mouse and Sunflower, as they squabbled over a nut. "Hush," Little Voices murmured, nearly drowned by Mouse's high pitched screeched. "There's plenty more nuts and needs when we get back."

The budgie eventually settled, feathers fluffed up.

Mossflower squeaked a sigh in her ear.

"Phew," Little Voices was used to wandering but normally with a lot of stops and starts and les focused walking. She was quickly growing tired. "I think we can stop now. That's far enough. Let's go back and we can try again later." Plus they'd better get some more nuts before Mouse started screaming again.

RP:Shank was frustrated. Her climb was slow and laborious. In the red haze of anger, she thought she smelled some wings grilling and salivated. She was famished and it sounded like a great idea.

Sparkling Sunrise was delighted to have come across this enchanting booth. For a while, she stood at the edge of it and just marveled at everything within. Eventually, her curiosity became too much and she walked inside, mindful of her large hooves stepping on soft mushrooms or delicate critters. She looked between the two factions and, reminded of her companions, noted that the marshfowl faction was likely the best choice for her. Mice were so teeny! And she was most definitely not.

When there was a lull in the activity of the booth, she approached. This was the first time she'd really gotten a good look at Story, and her eyes shined with wonder. "Wow! You look amaaaaazing," she giggled at the weary looking buck. "Thank you for such a fun-looking game and tasty looking food. You obviously worked very hard on this. With a polite nod to the buck, the young totoma went trotting up the hill.

Sparkling Sunrise realized pretty quickly that the climb was...a lot steeper and harder than she thought. She was a totoma, though! Somewhere inside her had to be a good mountain climber. A few slips and trips nearly sent her toppling down, but in the end she'd made a little bit of progress. She looked over her shoulder back at the rest of the booth. "You guys still don't look like ants yet, so I'm going to keep going!"
