He did this often, not liking the change of new territory. He stood through rain and through threat. He stood as still as the trees around him, awaiting for his sister to return home to him. If one were to simply glance at him as he stood still, they might mistake his hooves as roots extending from a tree, dug in to the earth below him, claiming his home.

She stood high over them, watching them and their surroundings always. Even as they grew and evolved into capable adults, she guarded them. She took her job as seriously as her life, never leaving her charges in the possibility of any danger. She was and always will be their guardian.
