...only to duck under the Jelly floating by overhead! Pips rolled onto her back and considered the beast. "...You're pretty, but don't have a lick of sense! I'm silly enough for me and my familiar, thank you. She waited for the Jelly to drift on by....and waited to see what else might appear out of the tall grass next.

As she waited, and watched, a brightly colored piece of shell picked itself up and started trundling along. A Dream Crab! You're on my list!, thought Pips to herself excitedly. She gently placed out a tender leaf to see if she could entice the dreamy little hermit crab.

Once the Dream Crab was on the big, soft, leaf, Three Red Pips picked up opposite ends of the leaf in her mouth and carefully stepped back to Celery to turn the little fellow in.

Pips whispered to the little hermit crab as she hid under a log, away from the floating Air Jelly menace.

"Guess I spooked you, coming down here suddenly....." Pips holds her breath and waits. Maybe she should have different food? Some crabs are scavengers, right....

She pricked up her ears and looked around the trees and boughs now surrounding her.

Pips tilted her head to regard the furbody. "Hello, you're.....certainly leggy." Some people were big on furbodies and some found them odd or offputting. Pips was one of the latter. "Hope someone who loves you takes you home!"

Oh hello beautiful Pips thought. She didn't want to stare directly at the beautiful bird but instead lowered her head, trying to catch glimpses of it out of the corners of her eyes. Did she have a dead mouse? How did you lure an owl anways.

"Hi," she whispered, barely more than a breath. "I like you. Do you like me?"
