Flounder was not happy to still be here and very much wanted to swim away as fast as she could. But the water still looked uninviting and everyone else was doing their best, so she had to try. Yell out her insecurities? Oh. Well. Ok.

"I THINK MY MOTHER IS DISAPPOINTED IN ME!" She cried out.

Oh phew. That actually felt good to say out loud.

"I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO DROWN PEOPLE THE WAY SHE DOES!"

This was always what happened with fishing. You went for the fish and it all ended up with introspection.

Storyend braced himself against the shifting, shadowy mess. Won't his misery just feed it? Bury himself in denial, embrace delusion, turn against it, resolve to destroy everything he cared about...did it really matter? Lies he wanted or truths he didn't, wasn't it all going to end the same way?

A colorful creature made of rainbows suggested he throw rocks at it instead. Yeah. Projectile weapons. Yeah, that sounded great. Augh.

He buckled down and just said it instead, like spitting the words out like a frog squatting in his mouth.

I'M AN IDIOT WHO CAN'T SAVE ANYONE, EVEN MYSELF. EVERYTHING'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE.

Fight Risk just grins to herself and charges forward, hooves, tails, and teeth ready to stomp, rend, and shred. She's been feeling so listless on the ship and now she finally has somewhere to vent!

Dainty Cloud was determined to help! He may have 'dainty' in his name but he was far from that description especially when someone was in need! He had pretty strong legs and hooves! Dainty Cloud got into position and fixed his aim. "Get ready for the smack down!!!"

Remember Death had been determined to enjoy this Winter Market. The strange feeling of warmth on her skin and the tropical wind blowing through was something to behold, and she wanted to spend her time trying what tasty snacks other kin brought to the event and maybe even making new friends. At first, things were fine, she went to her den each day full of excellent food and head full of amazing memories. It did not always stay that way. Something inside her felt uneasy, an instinct she couldn't place. She tried, but it was impossible to ignore.

Soon enough, Remember Death found herself walking towards a familiar location in the Winter Market, even with the tropical scenery overtaking it. The events of the Stump had burned into her memory, and the doe could not get rid of the feeling that the last time she saw Mischievous was not the last like she had hoped. When she arrived where the Stump was, all was quiet. The dark zikwa sniffed around, and dipped her nose low. The Stump seemed to be gone, but the dirt under her hooves felt like it curled in? Her chance to investigate was ripped away as something pushed her.

The falling was actually less terrifying than the plunge into the icy water. Remember Death struggled through the water, trying to find which way was up without eyes to see the surface, but eventually breached and gasped desperately for air. At first, she didn't know where she could go or where she was, but familiar shrieking presented her with a direction to start. The sound of Tricks' unrest split through Remember Death's head, and fury boiled through her as she swam towards the noise. Of course this wasn't over.

Eventually, Remember Death was aboard the Stump. The structure beneath her shuddered and lurched, sending her unsteady body hurling into walls and other kin aboard. Finally, she got her hooves back out from under her as she found her way to the top deck where Mischievous' shouts were at full volume. While Remember Death could not see whatever was looming above, the feeling of Wrongness and sickness was not lost on her. Tricks appeared to be the least of their worries. As much as she wanted to start with Mischievous, Remember Death knew there were others here and they needed to get out.

A chill ran down her spine as a ghostly figure brushed up beside her. Following it was something that sounded very deranged and small. Remember Death apparently could either verbally attack this thing or throw things at it. The dark zikwa felt there was enough fury in her that the former would be more effective. She approached closer to the edge of the Stump deck. Her ears were pinned back and her tail thrashed. Her jaw clenched as she gathered herself together for this near-impossible task. Her thoughts roiled around in her head, unable to string into something intelligible. Remember Death had so many feelings about how she ended up here, how some part of the Winter Market was felling catastrophically apart again because of Mischievous, and about how she felt responsible for stopping it because of her first encounters with this Stump Nonsense.

No words came, but a furious shriek escaped her maw and echoed across the water.

Air and her ghost army may have been late to the party but that didn't matter. They were here to kick ass and chew leaves - and they were all out of leaves. They contributed to the battle by making rude gestures and silly faces at the final boss.

Air made a bunch of uncouth remarks about its mother.

"Are you kidding me?" Endless Dawn said, staring at the monster. Okay, a monster made of his fears and insecurities. "I am not afraid, I am not afraid, I am not afraid," he chanted to himself.

Taking one of the logs he had been throwing rocks at, he hoisted it over his shoulders and threw it at the monster with all his might.

She might be late, but at hopefully it's fashionably so. Tickles arrives just in time to do what she does best - hug. I mean really, who doesn't feel better after a nice, tight hug? She's still learning her own strength but doesn't make anyone sign a waiver first - dead creatures don't come back to sue (whatever that means.)
