FF:

Forgotten Feathers' forehead scrunched up, making funny little winkles as she tried to recall more about the buck. If... if Albatross thought it was important... if she really needed to know then Forgotten Feathers really wanted to tell her more. The questions seemed all the same to her though. What did he look like? Scaly and scary! His cave was just a cave, she hadn't looked around it! She moaned a little, worried she wouldn't come up with anything at all.

"Um... um... orange?" It was orange, right? "I think... I think he was..."

Albatross:

Soon enough Forgotten Feathers' forehead resembled a piece of walnut or pecan. Albatross could never remember which was which. Just that occasionally nuts fell out of her hair in which her pets would crack and they would enjoy the spoils of hardwork. Sometimes she wanted very much to believe that the birds she homed thanked her in this way.

Scales. Orange. Alright, they were getting somewhere. And then she looked back at how protectively the featherhound and runaway mongoose clutched at the goose.

"What kind of tail did he have do you remember?"

There was definitely a small whine come out from the goose doe when another question was asked and she tried to think about it more. Instead, she didn't see the tail that Albatross wanted to know about. She didn't see anything. All she felt was the feelings from the experience rise up to haunt her once again. A devil's smile amidst all those scales, it was the most prominent thing about him.

"S... s... s... s... scales..."

Albatross:
Albatross knew when to stop pushing her friend. Part of her felt bad but it was necessary. She had to right the wrong that had been committed to Forgotten Feathers. Focused, she went up to her goose friend, laid down and gave a reassuring tail swat on the other's flank.

"It's going to be okay. I'm off to find him." She rose, shook her hair and out popped some nuts she had been storing for this dreary and cold weather.

"These are some nuts that the mongoose can help you with. I was going to return this little runaway to his owner but since it seems quite attached to you, I suggest you keep it until you find its owner, an orange buck named Suncrow or something like that. But I'm not sure. It seems like he wanted to give it to his Moon friend. But get some rest and eat up. The two little ones will keep you warm."

She gave one look back before leaving. "See ya soon, Forgotten Feathers!"

FF:

Forgotten Feathers was simply nodding her head at this point but it was starting to become buried by the eaglehound and the mongoose in strange attempts to liven her spirits. Somewhere under the mongoose, under the eaglehound, under Forgotten Feathers, was the spirit of this poor doe. Crushed, and utterly defeated, she only vaguely recognized the voice of Albatross saying goodbye. She didn't hear her mention going to find him, but even if she did it wasn't like Forgotten Feathers would be able to stop her.

A quite murmur, the sound of Forgotten Feathers saying goodbye could sort of be heard.
