"Getting... there.. I think..." She says, gasping for breath. After a moment she rallies and clenches her fists before starting up double-time, this time making a run for him again.

She grabs hold of his knobbly knees and climbs up and up and up!

Food continues to fly all around them, and Story shakes his head when one fuzzy foot tickles his ear, but High Times holds on. She gives him a kick to stay still for good measures.

Story HP: 19

That does the trick, or so it seems.

High Times finally reaches the top of his head and holds on to the branch-like horns and stomps her feet to smear more food around. "Hahaha! Take that!"

High Times is winning, she can feel it! She stomps harder!

Story HP: 7

Story groans like a tree falling and High Times knows his time is near.

"Go mice, go!" She yells. "The great beast is near its end!"

Story seems to sway and High Times jumps off as she gives him one last kick, sending him to his knees.

She has won. Not in the grand sense, of course. But there's just a certain kind of quiet satisfaction of having held her own against a creature ten times, no a hundred times her size. And, more importantly, the sheer joy of the fight, of testing her limits, of playing a game where the only rules were the ones she and the rest made up themselves.
