Watching from a distance, Cry rolled his eyes. Oh, this was an epic battle, alright.

What was wrong now?! It was going so well - he ducked, surging in an attempt to trip her.

...another narrow scrape, he could feel the woosh of the wind against his face. He reared, trying an uppercut maneuver again.

Ugh - she was almost at the end of her rope, but she would not give in so easily...a vicious kick -

- it was a strong blow. He staggered back and charged, hoping for an end...

...And this time, she could not get out of the way. Sprawled in the mud, winded, she glared up balefully: "I...demand a...rematch -"

HP: 0 - DEFEATED

"You should take a rest," he said, almost insufferably conscending, but it was largely because he was pretty winded himself. He graciously backed off, and settled next to Cry for a breather.

Cry cocked his head to a side, thinking. "Hold on," he suddenly said, rising to his hooves, "wait here." Disappearing into the undergrowth, it wasn't long before he returned with some curious stalks in his mouth. "Eat this," he mumbled, dropping a few leafy sprigs in front of Death. After a moment's pause, he trotted over to Cue and deposited some next to her too, resuming his position next to Death after that sojourn.

He took one up by the stem and started chewing - much to his surprise, he did indeed feel more energetic. "So," the colt grinned, roughly nudging his brother's side, "you're good for something after all."

What might have a been a thin smile flitted across Cry's sombre visage.

Cue was unimpressed by the show of brotherly affection going on several paces from her. The herbs though - when Cry did something, it was always for a reason. Tentatively she nibbled...then took a bite, then a mouthful. She was feeling better already; finishing off the stalks, she flowed to her hooves.
