A raging fire surrounded him as he worked tirelessly to save younger injured kin, to urge them along away from the flames. He got the last one out before he found himself trapped and forced to retreat to a thankfully large and deep body of water to wait the flames out, and he emerged once the flames in that portion of the swamp had died down. Soot covered, and soaked to be sure, but otherwise fine after his time Inside the Fire, relieved to learn those he'd rescued had survived as well.
