CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Should you ever hide
underneath the
nearest table when the
sea is rocking back and forth,
either cover your head or
tell everyone to abandon ship
CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Deep in the ocean there is
a mysterious creature with
ruby red eyes and a
knowing look that haunts sailors and
nestles into the reefs.
Everyone avoids it if they can because the
sea will claim its own and the creature waits with baited breath,
salivating with hunger
CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Funny you should mention it, but
I heard tale of a
ship that was lost at sea and the
hundreds aboard all disappeared.
I wonder what happened; if I toss a
net, will I
get anything?

CATCH OF THE DAY
Roe was back again, fishing.
Suddenly, Roe wished very, very much that he wasn't fishing as a cloud of bees started stinging him. The emotional damage was worse than the physical damage.
2. You pull on the fishing line and somehow a cloud of bees erupts from beneath the waves and slams into your face. Tricks tilts her head and hums nearby. "I didn't know bees could swim."

CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Somebody once told me that
Unless you make an offering to the sea before a voyage,
Nothing good will happen.
Silly, I thought, and ignored them.
Everybody said I was an idiot, and what do you know,
They were right, as I hit a reef and wrecked on the part of the map that said "Here be dragons..."
CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Dragons.
Aren't.
Real.
Knowing that, however, did not save me from an extraordinarily
Nasty large lizard, breathing fire and attempting to
Eat me.
Somebody
Save me!
CAUSTIC ACROSTIC
Finally
I
Slipped away from the furious beast
Harkening back to the old mariner's advice. My boat was wrecked, and
I
Never had to build a hut before...
Guess it's time to learn how to live the castaway life.

CATCH OF THE DAY
40. You pull in a fish that seems to glow brighter with every word of encouragement you give it.
The fish was looking at him.
Somnus looked back at it.
There was a long moment of silence that stretched out between the two of them, a little awkward, a little uncomfortable. Then Somnus said, a bit grudgingly, "Well. I suppose that's that, isn't it? You're pretty, but - "
The fish glowed. Somnus scowled.
"As I was saying, you're pretty, but - "
The fish glowed brighter. It was positively
preening.
"Oh, for the love of - " Somnus growled, and tossed it back into the ocean.

CATCH OF THE DAY
As she was reeling in something, she realized it wasn't something she wanted to reel in and she hoped she didn't catch another one.
23. A weird misshapen shark-like blob rises from the depths. "WHAT is THAT?" Tricks shouts.

CATCH OF THE DAY
5. The line goes taut and tugs you forward with immense strength. The fishing rod is pulled from your grasp and goes crashing into the water. Tricks sighs and gives you a judgmental side-eye.
Whispers yelped when the line yanked taut. He planted his hooves and tried to hold the line, but whatever was on the other end was stronger. Eventually, the line whipped from his grasp and the rod was gone with a splash. He glanced over to find Tricks giving him a look. "
I don't really think I want to know what was on the other end of that anyways..." he murmured nervously.

CATCH OF THE DAY
34. Pulling on the line reveals a soggy old map instead of a fish. Tricks examines it carefully, “Could this get us home?”

Once again, Beloved Bones rises, and picks up his fishing rod. He checked it idly for damage; finding it wholly intact after his last encounter and satisfied with the length of new line, he cast off. A soft tune rose in his breast as he braced against the railing. When he felt the tugging on his line, he quickly set the hook, and reeled in... a piece of parchment. He grimaced as Trick darted up, let 'em look. He rolled his eyes, and glanced up at the sky. "Doubtful..." he rumbled before heading back to his cot.

CATCH OF THE DAY
Roe stared at the blobfish and felt horrible. He'd heard about what happened to the poor things when you brought them up from the depths, and now he was looking at the results. Perhaps he should put down the fishing rod; it only brought misery.

LOGS OF VENGEANCE
The face of my foe:
Roe halfheartedly threw the stone at the log. The blobfish had depressed him too much. He didn't even care that he whiffed it.

CATCH OF THE DAY Endeavours gave the disgruntled acha a brief eye roll. She clearly didnt MEAN to drop the rod- she wasn’t about to end up in this ocean. Things weren’t right- ever since she’d fallen into that weird hole in the beach. She half thought she was back in the obelisk passage but.. this was something new and weird.

CATCH OF THE DAY
Tidal Rush wasn't sure about this whole fishing thing but decided to give it a go...and almost yelped at the fish that started to talk and tell her stories. That was NOT what she'd expected in the least.
12. You catch an ancient, barnacle-covered fish that tells you tales of the sea.

CATCH OF THE DAY
24. You pull up a piece of coral that glows faintly.

Soul Out Of Time stakes a good close look at the coral. It's cute, but it's not food and she hesn't the motivation not the room to keep such a knicknack. She tosses it back into the ocean and calls it a day for fishing.

LOGS OF VENGEANCE
The face of my foe:
Another miss. Soul Out of Time was growing bored of looking at the odd creature and acquiescing to its request of throwing rocks.
