The word "Fate," was out of his mouth before he could properly form his answer at Guardian's question of how he and Sweet had met. But he managed to catch himself from continuing, seeing as how it had not quite matched Sweet's response. It did, technically if one were squint and tilt their head.

And when she accepted his offer to go around the booths with him, there was pretty much a celebration happening in his head. She answered rather quickly and that was a good sign wasn't it? "Any where you wish, I will be there. Would we have to inform your parents first or?" He could already feel the tips of his ears heat up from the warm coziness he was feeling. Oh but, it wouldn't be rude to excuse themselves would it? Before he could say anything any further, Guardian of Souls seemed to pick up on direction the conversation and gave them leave!

He couldn't help but give the wiser doe a look of gratitude before bowing in respect, "A pleasure to have met you," though it was taking quite a bit of restraint on his end not to just run off with Sweet, instead gingerly walking away with maybe an extra bounce in his steps.

"This booth is definitely fun. And tasty!" The kimeti doe giggled, "I've not had much time or opportunity to check the other booths. Our recent journey to the mountains and caves brought back some stowaways actually, and we're hoping the festive season will encourage others to bring them home."

She was grateful some of her children willingly took over watching the petting zoo for a bit to give her a chance to go around. She didn't want to be away for too long, though. "I've not had the chance to speak with the booth owners, but if you deem them lovely then that must be so." She had no reason to doubt Leaves' judgment. If Forward spoke highly of her, there must be good reason for that.

"Have you been to other booths? I saw there was something of a resort and one that was at night but my schedule has been so sporadic I've only been able to rest now."

As for other booths, truth be told, the odd weather and the prospect of the exotic experiences on offer has made her hesitate to participate in many of them alone.

Leaves was impressed that Heart and Home would take on so much work during the festival. She thought perhaps the doe could use some company and that Leaves herself might be more inclined to participate on the more mind-bending experiences on offer in the other booths if she had someone with her. Though Forward's steadfastness and reliability would be most desirable practical for her purposes, she feels that Heart and Home would also be a great companion to have based on the opinion Leaves has formed of the latter.

It's a shame you haven't been able to go around much yourself. But I'm about to backtrack and check out some of the evening booths myself. If you have some more time to spend away from your booths and wouldn't mind some company, I'd be more than happy to go around and see what other booths are there with you.

"That was...kind of my brother, to attend to you in your hour of need," mused the zikwa, looking out for this other kin with Mother Wrath's tail. "The answer, then, is that I must find someone in even greater distress and grant them an even greater boon. And then, I too could have the worthiest companion. I see it now, I understand. This is what I must do."

Still, he was starting to get the sense that after all, the big targets were the ones worth the better prize, and since he was making a show of it he hunkered down to really focus on the pull of the slingshot, the slow exhale, the release of the fruit. This time, he managed to hit all three targets, including two of the large pawprints, which made him shout in victory!

"Yes! I can prove it--I am the best warrior on this berry battleground!!" He cackled theatrically, stomped his hooves, and was rewarded for his efforts by a mouthful of trinkets, more for his hoard. It was difficult to know if Hundred and One knew that these might be traded for other prizes later or if the pebbles were a goal in and of themselves. "When Mother Wrath sees the number of trinkets I bring home, she will be--so pleased. So incredibly pleased." And he wagged his tail back and forth excitedly, imagining the praises to be rained upon him. Him alone and not his brother--never his brother.

Rp response: Her first and third attempts missed entirely, narrowly hitting other kin; the second attempt splattered weakly against a small paw print. Spring Onion decided she'd had a little too much of the Winter Market festivities, and quietly slipped to the side to await what came next.

This was her first winter market and it wasn't exactly as wintery as she had thought it would be. It was tropical and warm and she wondered if maybe they should have called it Tropic Market instead. Prancing towards the booth she tossed her hair from her eyes and observed the object of the game. This was a curious creation and she was excited to give it a go. Stepping up she looked at the berries and they smelled delightful. So it would seem that the goal was to hit specific leaves, though she would be thrilled to hit any of the leaves. Whether or not she earned anything by doing so was an added bonus.

Looking it over she did her best to aim at the targets on the board and managed to hit one of the leaves, but it had an x on it. Trying again she hit the same leaf, so that was something! Looking around she saw others taking their time and not just a quick pull back and release. Hmmm. Looking at the target before her again she decided to give that a try and instead of rushing it, she took in a few deep breaths and allowed herself time to "aim" better. Releasing it she berry thunked against the board and a leaf with a large paw print on it. She had done it! Well, she had hit 3 leaves, but only one of them was really worth anything. Still, she had done far better than she had thought she would. Beaming with pride she looked around to see if she knew any of the faces here.
