Meadow peeped into the booth cautiously. A lot of weird stuff was happening around the winter market, but this booth seemed mostly normal. She flicked her tail and assessed the rules of the game. She wasn’t the best shot in the world but she’d give it a go.

Her first two shots were solid- she struck the heart and the critter with deceptive ease. Her luck didn’t last however- the next attempt she made was way off, the berry striking the wall to the side of the targets instead. She had one more shot that landed on the critter in her run. Not too bad for a pretty unsporty doe, she thought.

"Oh, that sounds painful, I'm sorry to hear that." They'd been hurt plenty, but had always healed up well enough. If they had scars, they were minor things, mostly around the ankles.

An ear flicked to listen, and Born tipped their head down, following the sound as he buck sat. They didn't move to sit as well, not yet, but they're a slight thing, far from imposing on spindly hooves.

"You're right. Winter Market is for everyone, regardless of appearance." Haven was working himself up to a growl again, and Born dipped their head to nose at the dog's ears, hushing him gently.

"You're having fun, I hope?"

"I don't know if I'd say fun." Will chuckled. "It's been a little traumatic in places if I'm honest. Wandering in and out of the swamp into nightmares. At least it is much safer here than it is out there."

He stepped back from the agitated dog, flicking his ears back. "Hm. Your pet doesn't seem to like me. Should I go? I wouldn't want to stress it out."

Your Story Ends crept discretely up to the game station this time, sure he had seen some glimpse of the kin he was shadowing, and giving himself an excuse to linger about the booth. Well. No matter. He understood the rules.

He fired the device, capturing the hearts, and one of the small animals. Both awarded points, but- his concentration wavered all at once, noticing that he was still lurking about. He excused himself quickly. He didn't realise he was so close. He needed to get out of here.

Prompt:Cosmic Traveler had known that she would eventually end up at this booth, she saw it in her visions. This is where she would find an essential piece to her plans for the future. She focuses on the crudely drawn symbols on the leaves, the intended targets of the game. Little did the purveyors of the simple game know that they had inadvertently drawn an old rune of fate, something that would summon forth energies to make planned movements happen with more certainty. Without sharing any of this information, Cosmic Traveler targets the leaf with the crude sling and hurls all the berries she is allowed in its direction.

Fisheye had wandered to this booth in her free time preparing for her own. She did appreciate the simple nature of throwing something at a target. It seemed simple enough!
