He fought against any who dared to trespass in his territory, and killed any who wandered his way. He held a twisted belief that for every death, he would grow in power. Eventually, a Totoma survived an encounter with him. She spoke of his insanity and fevered need for death and destruction - of his seeming consumption of the dead. The other mountain dwellers - once bold and free - now lived in fear, haunted by tales of his cruelty.
Their horrified stories echoed down the mountains and into the cave crevices. The Zikwa heard the tales of the creature that feasted on Death. As their horror grew, so did the warping of the story. One Zikwa whispered in the quiet night. "If this monster eats our death - do we not return?" The caves rattled at even the tiniest possibility of not joining the others in the earth. The Totoma was feared by those on the mountains, but now especially feared by the cave dwellers down below, becoming a dark legend and lamb-scaring story - a name uttered only in fear and in the quietest of tones - Deatheater.
