Strange Creature's Tribute to Tegus - Dice and Coloring Open! Trivia Over!
From what you’ve learned about reptiles while googling these images, do you think this parent would eat this baby under normal circumstances? Unfortunately. Look at that cute face.

New Game: Scavenger Hunt
“Reptiles require a lot of care– are you sure you’re ready? Prove it by gathering things you’ll need to take care of them!”
In this game, you are taking the role of a kin going out into the swamp (or using Obelisk travel to get to other areas) to gather items needed to care for a reptile. This means your scavenger hunt should include items feasibly available in the world of Matope. It also means that if you want to take care of a caiman or crocodile or dragon or something, you can– but it doesn’t have to be one of the familiars/pets, I'm sure that there's little things like geckos running around. Use your imagination! And if you don’t want to use your imagination, just use a tegu. The only real rule? No AI generated images, I don't wanna see 'em!
Each filled-in line is a ticket, and if you feel like changing the Xes to some other text, that is totally fine. When you’ve filled out each line, change its color to green! Then, when you've done as much as you're planning on doing, paste this into the bottom of your entry so I know to come and collect your tickets.

Strange Creature's Tribute to Tegus - Dice, Coloring, Scavenger Hunt!
Sparkling Sunrise was delighted at the thought of being able to actually feed some of Strange Creature's little friends. Engaging with animals was one of her favorite activities, and the reptiles were such a treat with their unique eating habits. She trotted into the denser parts of the Swamp, away from the hustle and bustle of the Winter Market, to see what she could find. There were some caiman nests nearby, she remembered, but the strange and incomplete memories from a weird pond and caiman made her shy away from the idea of stealing their eggs. A better choice would be tortoise eggs, she knew, based on what she learned last year with the tortoises she encountered. The young totoma refamiliarized herself with the way to the tortoise burrows and hoped there would be more there this year. Lucky for her, the couple of clearings she visited the year before were hosting a few tortoises again. "Hopefully they won't mind if I grab some eggs," she murmured, unsure. Tortoises didn't really do much with their eggs, so she figured they wouldn't mind if she took some to feed the tegus. When she presented the tegus with her finds, she squealed with delight as they downed the eggs hungrily. It was so entertaining, she had to go back again and grab a few more.
Not wanting to deplete the tortoise population, Sparkling Sunrise decided to find something else to feed the tegus. Something soft would be interesting! As she was preparing to go back into the trees, something caught her eye at one of the nearby booths. A kin was offering boar! That could be a neat treat for the little guys! The young doe trotted over and politely requested the haunch of one of the smaller hogs they had. She hummed a happy tune as she brought the fresh haunch over, but the melody died down when tegus showed little interest. "Sorry, little friends. I'll enjoy this later and find you something tastier!" Sparkling Sunrise set the haunch aside, a tasty dinner for later, and went back out.
The bright doe squeaked in surprise when a frog leapt in front of her face as she moved through some thick foliage. Reflexively, she flinched back away from it, but quickly corrected when she realized the opportunity. The frog made a strange squawking ribbit when she placed her hoof over it to prevent it's escape. "Little enough for them to eat, I think," she commented before leaning down to pick the creature up in her mouth. The amphibian panicked a bit, and she winced at the strange feeling of it in her mouth. She made her way back quickly and dropped the frog in front of the tegus. They quickly chased the bouncing beast around the clearing and she giggled. One eventually snapped it up in its jaws and she cheered.
The sun was leaning towards the horizon, and Sparkling Sunrise determined she could probably find one more thing to offer to the tegus. She dashed back into the trees and looked carefully at the ground as she moved through paths and foliage. A small, wiggling creature caught her eye, and she gasped. These would be perfect! They were little, wriggly, and she'd seen other reptiles eat bugs before. She'd even enjoyed a bug a time or two, so maybe they could share? Braced for the strange feeling of a small creature wiggling in her mouth again, she picked up a few grubs and trotted back to the tegus. Her eyes sparkled as she watched them gobble them up. "I hope those were tasty, little friends. I think I'll stick to the crunchy ones."
20. You thought about getting caiman eggs but don’t want to risk it, so you get some tortoise eggs instead, confident that tortoises aren’t what you’d call “good moms.” Not like caimans. +1 ticket.SPECIAL DELIVERY
6. A whole haunch of boar? For tegus? This is way too fresh. They nibble politely, but would prefer something a little grosser. No tickets, these animals are NOT sophisticated enough for this.

18. As you’re looking for lizard food, a fat frog flings itself in front of you. Sorry, friend. It’s fate. +1 ticket.
16. Grubs! Grubs are great grub. Just think of them like shrimp, but on land. +1 ticket.
