In the Presence of Power | G1 | Doe | gluttonous, dishonest, egotistical
In the Presence of Power is... Power is selfish and gluttonous, caring for almost no one but herself, as well as childish and egotistical, thinking she's better than literally anyone else she meets...at least at first. She's rude and generally disheveled, not caring about her hygiene more than the bare minimum, and doesn't care about most other's opinions on it or her. Feral and compulsive, she often rushes into things without thinking even for a second. She's a complete glutton when it comes to food she enjoys like meat, refusing to share and hoarding it all to herself and in general is very possessive of the things she loves and enjoys, viewing all of it as "hers". A compulsively liar, usually to get out of trouble, and isn't afraid to backstab and blame others to do so. Despite often lying she's not very good at it and her true feelings are pretty obvious, being somehow completely genuine and honest despite her efforts not to be. Is more than a bit of a coward most of the time but can be very courageous when the situation calls for it and she cares enough to do so. Yet she's the type that likes to speak ill of others to their face never doing so behind anyone's back ever and instead telling them how she feels about them from the get-go. Despite all this though Power can be a compassionate, loyal, and selfless friend who will stand up for the ones she really cares about, being extremely affectionate to those she loves. She's hard to get on the actual good side of but once you do she's loyal to you for life. She's pretty easy to win over through praise and general ego stroking.
Best buddies with Chain, they are inseparable and he is only soul outside of Meowy she treasures. They started out at odds with each other but she quickly began to view him as her equal after he put his life on the line for her ramcat, Meowy. They often get into trouble together and generally find fun in being carefree and probably creating a nuisance to those around them and seem to share the same braincell much of the time. They often playfully "argue" with each other and she can be more than a bit rough with him physically but it's pretty clear Power cares deeply for him and it's just her way of showing his love for him. She's surprisingly needy around him to the point she almost seems like a different kin around him at times, always hanging off him and seeking his comfort, almost as if she's his shadow, highly valuing his presence in her life. She would easily put her life on the line to protect him since he is her first and only friend. Their bond with each other is thicker than blood and both would be lost without the other!
Loves her ramcat, Meowy more than anything and generally gets along better with felines over other kin. Her and Meowy have been inseparable since the day they met and she generally values Meowy's opinion over anyone else's besides Chain's.
The fleas are annoying and she hates them! They are infernal itch creators and are just a pain in her butt...but it's not like she's going to groom herself to get rid of them unless Chain starts complaining about them. She'll just gripe about them herself till then!
...Also hates vegetables and will always turn her nose up at them, refusing to eat them without some sort of bribery.

Chain is... Chain often comes off as rude and brash, though more in a childish way than a mean-spirited one. It's mostly a result of having a rough childhood and might sometimes be more of a defense mechanism than anything else. Despite outward appearances he has strong empathy for most others, willing to protect those that need it as much as he can. In general appears unintelligent but is a quick and clever thinker when the situation calls for it! He is however not the most understanding of his own thoughts and feelings, never quite knowing what he wants and is often chasing the next thing he believes will make him happy, often times ignoring the true happiness that's right in front of him. He can easily fall into bad situations with others that just want to take advantage of his naivety for this reason. He also has trouble facing his tough past and would rather lock those thoughts and feelings away and never dealing with them, constantly running from his trauma. He has a pretty warped view of himself even if it's not completely obvious most of the time, putting many above him even when they don't deserve it, clearly never thinking of himself as actually deserving of the happiness he craves. Heavily desires intimacy and love with someone but never quite understands what it truly entails and the steps needed to get there or what it truly feels like even when he has that with someone. Not the most trusting of other guys because of past trauma and often prefers the company of girls unless the guy in question takes his friendship slow with him and gives him the space and respect he needs. He is in general friendly and fun to be around though, loving being carefree and ignoring the bad while in the company of another, always making sure the other is enjoying themselves.
He's the best friend and constant companion of In the Presence of Power. He initially couldn't stand her, vowing he'd "never get along with her but over a short amount of time really came around to her. Now they don't go anywhere without the other, spending nearly every moment in the day together. He still often seems annoyed with her and will swear up and down to himself he doesn't care about her even close to the level he actually does, yet will drop everything if she needs him, turning down other things he thinks are more important to him just to be there for her, seeming to generally enjoy taking care of her in those moments despite his protests. When he allows himself to enjoy it when he's with her it's some of the most fun he's ever had, she so easily chases away his troubles and worries, making him forget the bad parts of his life when she's there with him. He often gets into trouble with her due to their recklessness but never once does it feel close to the level of bad as it does when he's alone, often finding it fun and exciting if he's with her. He would never willingly leave her side and whether he realizes it or not she's one of the things that give his world color.
Chain treasures the continued presence of his badger, Show Me Your Dreams, who more or less basically raised Chain. The only one who was there for him when he was very young, there bond being extremely strong with Dreams almost being a sort of caretaker to him. Dreams would protect and stand up for him no matter what despite his rather small size and adores Chain more than anyone else, just wanting him to find his own happiness.
