Nightmare watched on carefully, cautiously. He was a big buck but there was just something terrifying about those does. Internally he might have known that this was Sylph and that things were fine but it was hard to disassociate the visual image with objective truth. It was hard to separate it so when Sylph sat down, Nightmare did as well. However, he closed his eyes and tried to imagine Sylph as he really was. If he couldn't see the doe body, isn't Sylph just Sylph?

A small breath left Sylph's lips as he considered what he should do to give comfort to poor Nightmare. The last thing he wanted to do was call his friend more stress but he couldn't exactly turn back into a buck in the blink of an eye without finding one of those flowers. He'd have to do that later, at some point, because he was now curious to see how a few others—well, one specific buck would react to this new form. Until then, he needed to give this buck some equilibrium.

"Perhaps it would help to talk about something you enjoy, friend. What brings you comfort when you feel overwhelmed? I know our furry friends are always overjoyed when fish are caught. I'm quite fond of songs, myself."
